Silnet Silicone Seam Seal
Reviewed By Helen, 28 Aug 2013

As soon as we set up the tent we applied this along the inside of the lower seams where the tent had previously leaked. We had a whole day of rain not to mention some nights drizzle and the seams have appeared sealed again- no leaks! It was quick, non smelly and a perfect fix!

For when your very expensive tent dies

Silnet came to the rescue when my pricey and well-looked-after tent decided to attempt suicide by crumbling at the seams. Spent an hour in the garden with a tube of Silnet (hint spread it in with a finger, it will stretch further), and the hose test indicates the tent has been fully resurrected. Hallelujah!

A necessity for all with a silicone fabric tent
Reviewed By Emma, 22 Aug 2012

I managed to completely destroy the seams on my lovely tent by packing it away wet and forgetting to take it out again. So I used Silnet to re-do all the seams. It is a lengthy process but once you've prepared the tent, it's very easy to apply the seam sealer. I used about 3 tubes on my 3-man tent, but then I had to replace them ALL. It's also useful for sealing small holes. It dries clear and gives a nice finish, but obviously my tent doesn't look quite as smart as it used to. It is best to use the whole tube in one go because it's hard to clean the applicator brush once it has the silicone on. I haven't tested it's waterproofness yet, but have high hopes.
