Good shoe for problem feet
Reviewed By Alison, 21 Jan 2014

I was advised by my Doctor to either wear walking boots or a good walking shoe whilöe a variety of different problems with my feet are adressed. In my St Albans store I was carefully measured, well advised and then given time and space to make my choice. These shoes felt right immediately, have taken very little time to 'wear in' and have made walking, even on hard city pavements comfortable again. A lovely lightweight but secure and supportive shoe.

Great fit, excellent quality
Reviewed By Karen, 30 Dec 2013

Bought these shoes for a 26 mile charity walk, from the start they have been extremely comfortable with good foot support. It's a huge thank you to Sally at the Preston store for her help, knowledge and professionalism in helping me choose the right shoe for the job.

62 MILES AFTER ONE WEEKS WEAR
Reviewed By , 27 Jun 2013

Just completed the London to Brighton Trek 62 miles. I bought these shoes two weeks before, as a lighter alternative to my Meindl Burma Lady Pro MFS boots, which I had trained in. I used these for the first 35 miles and then changed to the boots for the hilly sections over the South Downs. The shoes were so comfortable - light but with a stable, stiff sole suitable for off road walking. They were easy to lace and held my feet securely. Worn with Bridgedale Woolfusion Trail Ultralight socks, I did not get one blister during 62 miles of continuous walking and you can't beat that!!!!

Good quality comfortable
Reviewed By helen, 01 Apr 2013

This is a sturdy yet lightweight walking shoe. Comfortable from the first walk and didnt need "walking in". The lace system is secure and easy tighten. The sole is good grip and robust> These feel better quality than previous Merrells which lost waterproofness and sole relatively quickly-hope they last.

Contrary to another review I believe these are true to size. I wear 7 in regular shoes and with one thick pair socks size 7 fits. If you prefer 2 pairs sock consider half size up.

The pale blue colour probably works better in summer/ cleaner conditions.

Like a plastic bag
Reviewed By Yael, 23 Mar 2013

While these shoes are mostly comfortable, I have had an instance where after a short flight they started to hurt my ankles. But worse than that is the fact that they are not breathable at all. Unless it is zero degrees, when I can wear them comfortably with no more than a very thin pair of socks, it feels like I am wearing two plastic bags. Anything above 10 degrees make my feet roast. This is totally new to me, as I generally have cold extremities and need the temperature to increase considerably before they get hot. I now need to get a truly breathable pair of shoes.

Just like slippers
Reviewed By Catherine, 23 Mar 2013

Bought these shoes to trek through Peru. they were fantastic in the amazon basin, though I used boots on the Inca Trail, these would have been fine too. Since coming home they have been all over and I rarely take them off. They are stiffer than most trail shoes so are good for those who are heavier on their feet - like me.

8 miles first wear and not a blister in sight
Reviewed By Lisa, 09 Jun 2012

Bought these to replace Merrell approach trainers which have worn out. Persuaded by the shock absorbing base, harder wearing soles than the Merrell (which had worn smooth after only 6 months of medium wear) and foot support offered to my fallen arches! Totally delighted, no breaking in required. I am a large size 8 but the 8 fitted well so they do size on the larger side. Water proofing brilliant and a great summer alternative to my Brasher boots!

Very comfortable shoe
Reviewed By Liz, 29 Dec 2011

My podiatrist recommended this type of shoe to help correct plantar fasciitis. Immediately comfortable and the foot is really secure - no breaking-in required. I got specialist advice at the Bournemouth branch, which was really good.
