The Mountain Equipment Glacier 5.0 self-inflating sleeping mat provides welcome comfort and insulation on long cold trips or for base camp use.

The thick foam core has horizontal holes that help insulate you from the ground while ensuring your comfort. A non-slip abrasion-resistant base prevents the mat from moving around as you sleep and a large push-in valve allows for rapid inflation and deflation.

Surprisingly comfortable, we have swapped a regular blow up mattress for these and they are just as comfortable - in fact slightly better because you don't get affected by someone else moving like you do on a lilo
They don't pack up as small as I was hoping, they are almost as large as an old school foam karrimat.

Its doesn't fully self inflate, it needs a good few puffs to make it comfortable, but once it's inflated it is excellent
