Product Information

The Mountain Equipment Glacier 5.0 self-inflating sleeping mat provides welcome comfort and insulation on long cold trips or for base camp use.

The thick foam core has horizontal holes that help insulate you from the ground while ensuring your comfort. A non-slip abrasion-resistant base prevents the mat from moving around as you sleep and a large push-in valve allows for rapid inflation and deflation.

Really good addition to our camp beds - we were lovely and warm (and that is quite an accomplishment)!

A sceptical upgrade from a traditional airbed. Very happy, and I found to a lot more comfortable than I expected. Lying on your side is equally as comfortable without feeling the ground. Self inflates, but needs a couple of puffs to make it firm for sleeping.
Not as good as my bed, but not far off.

Carmarthen Wales Enthusiast
looks good and like the colour and texture
I feel I had a bad valve mechanism - difficult to use and the mat lost fullness overnight - my mate who also bought one had no such problems and was delighted with it - decided to persevere with mine since it got slightly marked that one night - have worked the mechanism a little easier and had it fully inflated and standing up overnight and seems fine now but shouldn't have such difficulties for this sort of price
