The Helium 2.5 is ideal for backpacking and travelling and is far more comfortable than a standard foam mat. The foam core has drilled vertical holes that not only keep weight to a minimum but also ensure a small packed size. A non-slip abrasion resistant base prevents the mat from moving around as you sleep and a push pull valve allows for rapid inflation and deflation.

Great mat
Reviewed By Chris, 24 Mar 2013

I have purchased these mats for my school group. They are fantastic.

I noticed the difference between this and roll mat immediately. Very easy to inflate, so comfortable (no more aching shoulder!), really does make a huge warmth difference too. Small, lightweight when rolled up. Brilliant.

Wish I'd got one sooner!

After too many camping trips on a 5mm yoga mat, this mat was like living in the lap of luxury. Reflects body heat even in sub-zero temperatures, brilliantly padded so you wake up with no aches and pains. Best nights' sleep you can hope for when camping, lightweight, and super easy to inflate.

Really good mat!
Reviewed By Karen, 14 Aug 2012

Would definitely recommend to anyone thinking of buying, after you open it and give it a few puffs it makes sleeping on all terrain very comfortable, as well it packs away very small so you don't have to worry about carrying it on the outside of your rucksack!

Fantastic Product!

Go camping every now and then and I used to use a roll mat, but now I bought this and have been using it for ages, still works perfectly fine. Recommended for D of E.

Great Mat!
Reviewed By Kate, 30 Apr 2012

I bought this for an expedition and I've loved it, I was a bit apprehensive about it's thickness but it's absolutely fine! it packs up really small which is very useful, I managed to carry it on the inside of pack on a 5 day exped. It's also very, very easy to inflate, just open the valve and it inflates itself, just have to give 1 or 2 blows to completely fill it. It's also very light!

Great comfy and wake up like I slept in my own bed
Reviewed By A, 14 Oct 2011

* extremely comfy to sleep on * totally recommend unless you want heavier deeper super comfy then next one up is 2cm wider in diameter and 65g heavier * stay with this is you want light mountain climbing load unless you going on snow * self inflating * non-slip underside stops sliding * quick lock valve great in freezing and dump * easy to wipe clean * so very compact and light 685g * tough * easy to deflate, roll and pack away back in the sack * can't fault it * so much better than roll matt or blow up airbed * its simply great and such a good value * wish I got one sooner :)

Excellent sleeping mat
Reviewed By Peter, 14 Aug 2011

Compared to other brands of this type, I am impressed by the non-slip underside, and particularly the design of the quick lock-and-release valve, which is easier to use in cold and wet conditions. Very compact and light in a backpack.
