Product Information

The go-to all-rounder for a diverse range of mountain enthusiasts

The Men's Morpheus Jacket has been developed to be an all-round shell for a seriously diverse range of mountain enthusiasts.

Mountain Equipment have used three-layer Gore-Tex, a workhorse waterproof and breathable fabric. The solid protection afforded by the fabric is constructed into an alpine fit that is tailored to sit against your body to avoid snagging and bulging, but which nevertheless allows for incredible freedom of movement.

The versatility of the Morpheus Jacket is neatly embodied by its hood, which fits easily over a helmet when you're climbing or scrambling, but which also easily adjusts down to give exceptional weather protection when you're not. Like the rest of the jacket, it's ideal for whatever you choose to get up to in the mountains.

Pockets are carefully positioned for continued access, whether or not you're wearing a pack or a harness, and they are easily big enough to swallow a map, guide book, mitts, hat, GPS, compass, energy bars.....

The fit is generous and looks great. The quality looks and feels good. Bought this for my son in a sale - discount was generous and made it a bargain-buy. Still to be tried out in heavy rain and driving winds, but the quality is inspiring confidence that it will do what it says - Keep Water Out!
Can't think of any at the moment

Stylish design and robust fabric. The peaked hood can be adjusted to give really good protection, something my previous jackets didn't quite perfect. Similarly, I'm used to the aqua guard style zips which eventually let water in - I can't see anything getting through the Morpheus double storm flap! Pockets are well placed and the chest pocket is large.
The arms are a bit long for general wear - but there are less technical jackets for that sort of business.
