Made from a waterproof tarpaulin fabric, and augmented with an incredibly strong 1000 denier nylon base, this expedition-proven duffle has survived being handled by airport machinery, recalcitrant yaks and enthusiastic porters! A clever divider allows you to pack wet kit and dry travel clothing separately.

While the fabric used is waterproof to keep a lot of water out, the seams are not taped and the zip is not waterproof, therefore this cannot be considered a fully waterproof bag.

Will Do The Job
Reviewed By steve, 17 Oct 2014

At £60 on promotion, I bought this as oppose to the 100LT North Face and saved £40.00. It is not as heavy in weight terms as some duffles, important when you have a 15 kilo trip limit. Capacious and sturdily constructed, I am confident it will survive a Himalayan trip. The wet item section is very practical.Big thanks to the Reading store for their usual high level of advice.

Does everything you want it to. Good size, with handy mesh pockets inside and an effective wet compartment.
Very robust and hardy, with waterproof exterior. Attachable straps fit shoulders well and is comfy and easy to carry. Travels with me everywhere, whether it's a weekend camping in the lakes or a week skiing in the Alps. Cannot fault it.

Top draw kit bag

From base camp kit bag in the Dolomites, hold all for weekends away in Snowdonia and the Lakes, even to a recent house move, this bag performs without fault at every time of asking. Very durable, waterproof and spacious - it easily took a tent, sleeping bag, mat, stove, climbing and via ferrata gear, food and clothes etc for two weeks in the Dolomites this summer and was easy to handle at the airport. With the alpine shoulder straps on the 100l model it is incredibly easy (and comfortable) to walk with. Thoroughly recommend, a steal at the current price!

Basic but good.

It's hard to see any big differences between all these barrel bags, but got to say that this really pops up with few nice twist. First of all it has really nice extra waterproof pocket inside for wet equipment. And it's enough big! Second, it has better pockets inside at the ends and at the top lap than I have ever seen in any other barrel bag. It also have really good handels out side for good grips no matter how you roll it. And thats about all. Basic barrel bag. Deal with it!

Great value heavy duty gear bag!
Reviewed By Murray, 23 Sep 2012

This 100 litre version is positively cavernous and will take 2 people's kit round the world with ease!! Like the smaller models it has a handy waterproof inner zipped compartment to keep damp and dry kit separated. It also has 3 handy inner zipped mesh pockets....one large full-length one under the 'lid' and one at each of the ends....useful for keeping equipment apart from clothes. Finally, this excellent hard-wearing kit bag has shoulder straps which allow you to wear it as a rucksack for those longer carries. All in all, a really useful and good value kit hauler...even more so at the discounted price!!

Great kit bag
Reviewed By Jonathan, 02 Feb 2012

Bought this bag to use as a kit bag for kayaking trips and transporting climbing an walking kit when using the train. The rucksack straps are very useful for this, and are detachable, which is good if your going to put it in a plane hold.
The dry pocket comes in useful for separating wet/dirty and dry/clean kit :)
The material the bag is made of feels tough and has certainly held up to the abuse its taken so far :)
The compression straps are great for when its half full and you want to use it as a rucksack as they stop everything from collecting at the bottom of the bag.
The only problem I have had with the bag was the zip pulls to the main compartment as after a few uses the string started slipping from the plastic toggles. No worries thought as I replaced them with paracord.

Great Bag, not as indestructible as it seems...
Reviewed By Samuel, 31 Aug 2011

I bought this popular holdall to use as my main kit bag for trekking in Nepal. The tough waterproof material survived alot of battering as it was dragged around by porters and all my kit was kept fantastically dry in the monsoon rain!
The internal divider is great for keeping damp and dirty clothes separate to clean and there is plenty of space to fill it with as much kit as you want! The rucksack straps are a quite uncomfortable and I would not recommend using this holdall if you plan to carry it on your back for long periods.

The main problem I had with this bag was that I discovered it had a hole about 5 inches long where the stitching along one of the seams had ripped apart. The only explanation I could think of was that it must've caught on something when the porters were carrying it.
Despite this happening, I was able to temporarily fix the bag using some strong tape. I have not been put off this bag. I got back to the UK and Cotswold allowed me swap it with a brand new Wet & Dry 100L Kit Bag which I will make frequent use of for many trips in the future!

Monster kit bag.
Reviewed By Andy, 19 Aug 2011

I ordered the 100 litres as it comes with the ruck sack style handles for carry across your shoulders as well as the normal hand carrying ones. I know the 75 litre does as well but you can never have too much space! It arrived a day after placing the order and is an awesome piece of kit. Very well made, it should last a lifetime and the split inner is a brilliant idea. It can also be used to seperate clean and dirty gear too. All in all, a highly recommended kit bag and a third off the price too!

Really good bag, good size and number of pockets. Tough and stood up really well against being thrown around. The compression straps were brilliant, reducing the size of the pack for shorter trips away. Overall a decent bit of kit.

Best duffel on sale today!
Reviewed By Bradley, 23 May 2011

This bag is great for all types of travel ranging from a small local camping trip to a prolonged overseas trek. The material is extremely durable and waterproof (only the seam and zips will leak). They are truly great in terms of size and will compress down when only filled to about 3/4 capacity. I have had mine for about 5 years now and i can't find so much as a scratch on the surface, the shoulder straps are very useful for carry the bag and i can very often slide my tent inside the bag to protect it when travelling by plane. The water resistant inner pocket is great for use when canoeing with moist or damp kit but would advise against putting anything soaking wet inside as the water resistant zip can leak. Overall an unfailing bit of kit that is already a classic!

Great bags!
Reviewed By Mark, 19 May 2011

These bags are amazing, they are so much better for travelling (unless you are hiking with it a lot) than a traditional rucksack as it's much easier to get things in and out. In a rucksack you have to pull everything out to get to items near the middle or bottom of the bag.

These are extremely waterproof and very hard-wearing. I've been using mine for a while now all over Ethiopia and apart from a coating of dust it is in top-notch condition.

There is a nice amount of room for keeping documents etc safe, and it's like a Tardis inside - very voluminous!

The straps are well padded so this is easy and comfortable to carry on 1 shoulder. If you've really loaded it you can use the 2 rucksack-style straps and it sits nicely on your back.

Not a bad word to say about this!
