A brilliant 3 season all rounder, the Lamina 20 Regular Sleeping Bag uses Mountain Hardwear's ingenious lamina welding construction to really make the most of the bag's performance.

In a traditional sleeping bag construction, layers are stitched together. Insulating materials work best when they're opened out and full of warm air, but this stitching pinches them together. The layers in the Lamina 20 are welded together, so the insulation is unrestricted, full of air, and doesn't suffer from cold spots along the seams. This means you need less of it to keep you warm because it's working at its best, resulting in a lighter bag.

Another advantage of this construction is that creases aren't caused in the insulation by stitching, so there's less breakdown of the fibres.

Reduced weight, increased performance and longer life: clever stuff!

No compression sack
Reviewed By Stuart, 29 Jun 2014

Just purchased the Lamina 20 for my son. I’m sure it will be a very good sleeping bag; I bought one for my daughter a few years ago. However Mountain Hardwear have ditched the compression sack and replaced it with a cheaper stuff-sack. Consequently the sleeping bag won’t fit in the base of his rucksack. Disappointed.

Excellent 3-season bag
Reviewed By Paul, 01 Dec 2013

You're obviously looking for a sleeping bag because you're reading this review. If you're anything like me, what you REALLY want is a Rab Andes 1000 but - 1) you don't have £500+ and 2) you don't realistically need a bag for anything lower than -10C.
I've just spent two nights in Wales in the Lamina 20 and am thoroughly impressed with its performance. Good pack-size/weight (for synthetic fill), very snug at 1C wearing just base-layer (I think I would have been perfectly warm if it were 3 or 4 degrees colder without adding more clothes or a liner)and more than capable of shrugging off the results of a precariously positioned beer.
All in all, an excellent product & one which I do not hesitate to recommend.

Very good

I bought one of these last year. It has been through many camps, and has been hard wearing. Also a very comfy sleeping bag, light weight to other sleeping bags I have purchased in the past as well. Very good buy.
