Designed for lightweight, ultra-breathable performance

Designed with lightweight, ultra-breathable performance in mind, the Exos 48 Rucksack strips away heavy and restrictive foam and focuses on user-defined features, allowing you to tailor your pack on the trail. Osprey's exceptional, fast and light assault pack is built for unrestricted comfort.

The ExoForm harness and hipbelt are constructed using mesh throughout to significantly reduce weight and maximise comfort. The outer layer is an open mesh and the core is a multi-layered spacer mesh for extra padding, creating incredibly gentle body contact along with an exceptional level of ventilation.

A high-tensioned mesh across the aluminium alloy frame of the AirSpeed back system allows plenty of rear ventilation while keeping the load close to the body to retain stability and without conceding weight.

Remove the lid, the key straps and the attachment points, and the weight is stripped further for ultra-fast use. The integrated FlapJacket closure system provides weather protection while the pack is lidless.

If you are into light weight backpacking then this pack ticks a lot of boxes. At under 1Kg in stripped mode it is half the weight of my old pack. There are lighter packs out there, but I wanted an internal frame for added comfort. 48L is ample volume for weekend treks. The details are all good; useful zipper hip pockets and easy access side flask pockets, big back pocket for carrying wet tarps or gear.
This pack doesn't come with built in rain cover, and may not be so comfortable with heavy loads.

Wokingham Enthusiast
Spacious, ideal for carrying all my gear for a 8 day trek in the Alps (mountain huts not camping) . Very comfortable and lightweight. Novel way of fastening poles to the pack take some getting used to, but it is easy to stow the poles while on the move without removing the pack. In all an excellent rucksack.
Elastic bands on the top of the shoulder straps are too tight to enable the valve of a "Source" hydration pack to pass through. Rather a lot of compression straps. No rain cover.
