Designed for lightweight, ultra-breathable performance

Designed with lightweight, ultra-breathable performance in mind, the Exos 48 Rucksack strips away heavy and restrictive foam and focuses on user-defined features, allowing you to tailor your pack on the trail. Osprey's exceptional, fast and light assault pack is built for unrestricted comfort.

The ExoForm harness and hipbelt are constructed using mesh throughout to significantly reduce weight and maximise comfort. The outer layer is an open mesh and the core is a multi-layered spacer mesh for extra padding, creating incredibly gentle body contact along with an exceptional level of ventilation.

A high-tensioned mesh across the aluminium alloy frame of the AirSpeed back system allows plenty of rear ventilation while keeping the load close to the body to retain stability and without conceding weight.

Remove the lid, the key straps and the attachment points, and the weight is stripped further for ultra-fast use. The integrated FlapJacket closure system provides weather protection while the pack is lidless.

Osprey Exos 48
Reviewed By John, 06 Sep 2014

This is a great all rounder have used it in Cumbria and the Alps. It's light and the air frame was good for me as I run hot, better than the usual air flow ones. In the Alps some straps weren't needed and don't need two belt pockets but good. The ice axe fits okay, crampons in a cover fitted fine in the outside back pocket. Plenty of space inside for quick layer changes and straps pack it down well. It was the right size the thin nylon means the extra size doesn't cost you in weight etc wasn't flaffing about trying to organise or find things when time is short. Was concerned about the wider base on the aluminium frame but didn't seem to get in the way. Won't last a lifetime but good sporting quick working sack so Not one for heavy loads.
