- THE AT rucksack for good reason. Lightweight and robust. (Don't buy something bigger as you will just fill it.) It took all that was required for winter hiking at -15C, and nothing more. The mesh back system was very comfortable.
- Niggles: - it would be the better of having one small strong pocket for keys / wallet etc.
When fully loaded, it is not easy to use the side pockets for water.
A size small rucksack should have a belt that can be cinched enough to fit a 30 inch waist. That's just obvious.
The belt pockets often catch your forearms as they swing past, so "encourage" you to only pack soft things in them.
