Product Information

Designed for lightweight, ultra-breathable performance

Designed with lightweight, ultra-breathable performance in mind, the Exos 48 Rucksack strips away heavy and restrictive foam and focuses on user-defined features, allowing you to tailor your pack on the trail. Osprey's exceptional, fast and light assault pack is built for unrestricted comfort.

The ExoForm harness and hipbelt are constructed using mesh throughout to significantly reduce weight and maximise comfort. The outer layer is an open mesh and the core is a multi-layered spacer mesh for extra padding, creating incredibly gentle body contact along with an exceptional level of ventilation.

A high-tensioned mesh across the aluminium alloy frame of the AirSpeed back system allows plenty of rear ventilation while keeping the load close to the body to retain stability and without conceding weight.

Remove the lid, the key straps and the attachment points, and the weight is stripped further for ultra-fast use. The integrated FlapJacket closure system provides weather protection while the pack is lidless.

Bristol Enthusiast
Versatile, astonishingly light and comfortable even with a 15kg+ load. I found it large enough and robust enough for a few days backpacking. An excellent pack.
The low weight is achieved by sacrificing features. There is no rain cover, shoulder and hip padding is relatively thin, main compartment can only be accessed from top, and compared to other Osprey packs there are fewer compartments and fewer options for adjusting the fit and compression of the bag. However, these are not really 'bad points' since this is designed as a minimalist pack meaning that features are necessarily limited.

Lightweight, design fits well and enough pockets etc. Fabric is good quality and expands to fit more than stated litre capacity
Bit expensive..

Hove Enthusiast
Ability to remove or add extra hood as needed.
Ability to squash down to minimise for hand luggage fit whilst able to extend for full pack when needed for hut to hut trip
Hugely comfortable for carrying off your back re weight and sitting away from back.
only complaint being difficult to use with a helmet for via Ferrata as clashed against the upper metal frame - unlikely to be used much for this function so the other functions outweigh by far.
Great for easy to access items with hip pockets, pole holder and extra back pouch
