A technical day pack for fast raids into the wilderness

A technical day pack perfect for fast day raids into the wilderness, but with enough volume for lightweight weekend challenges. Breathable ventilation is key to the Osprey Talon 33 Rucksack as the pack sits securely allowing you freedom to roam with your kit stable and safe.

The AirScape back panel has foam ridges that fit to the contours of your body, keeping the load close and aiding your stability. Air chimneys run through the foam, letting air circulate around your back to keep you cool.

The BioStretch harness and hipbelt are shaped to provide comfortable contact with your body and they work with the back panel to reduce the movement of the pack when you are moving fast. The single ErgoPull waistbelt simplifies the attachment of the hipbelt.

With the Stow-on-the-Go feature, you can quickly and easily attach and release your trekking poles without having to take the pack off your back or stretch uncomfortably, and the LidLock feature lets you secure a helmet to the pack.

The Power Mesh front stretch pocket will swallow all manner of gear, be it a fleece or a flask.

Does the job
Reviewed By Matthew, 14 Sep 2014

Found this bag to be very comfortable on my 2 week trip to Japan. It managed to hold everything I took with a bit of space to spare. There are plenty of very useful extra pockets (the stretch panels and the hip belt pockets especially) and the lid can hold a surprisingly large amount.

I did find the back length only just enough for me (I'm 6'3", was on the biggest notch of the M/L size and felt I could have used a little more) and I had to regularly readjust the length of the shoulder straps as they would slip when I picked up the bag. Despite this I was always comfortable wearing it even in 36 degree heat!

The bag is light, spacious, has lots of well thought out little extras and seems reasonably robust for the weight so far. I am very happy with my purchase.

First class choice

A perfectly designed rucksack. I have wanted a top class day sack for ages having always used a 50 litre rucksack. Have just used it on the first week of the Coast to Coast walk. It has ticked all the boxes. Very, very comfortable in all conditions. The pole system is extremely useful. Great air circulation on the very hot days and with the matching cover it was totally dry on a couple of shockingly wet days. Not too many unnecessary compartments to have to ferret in for missing gear! Delighted with the quality. Very smart and stylish.

Great and light weight

I think it is a great bag, easy to adjust and lightweight and overall a great day bag when out walking due to the added comfort of the back support and hip strap.

Well Designed DaySack

A lot of thought has gone into this rucksack. You need a little time to get a good understanding of all the adjustments. I needed a bag for a trek for max 5 kilos comprising spare clothing, fluids and walking poles, plus personal kit. I believe the Talon 33 justifies its premium price and would give it 5 stars.
