Comfort: I have had surgery and am not allowed anything that digs in: not even my trust berghaus was any good. Then I tried this and voila! - I'm amazed - sometimes I forgot I was wearing it, on treks of several hours in the Alps.

I also didn't seem to feel hot and sweaty with it on.

Volume: I packed 3 x 500ml bottles of water, sweatshirt, rainwear, suncream, hat, two scarves, map, compass, phone, etc, and could no doubt have added more - that stretchy compartment at the front (for a helmet, apparently?) is very useful.

In fact, I'm going to investigate some bigger Osprey rucksacks now for larger loads...

I think it was expensive but well worth the money in terms of the comfort factor, which is why I have given it a 10 for value.
The little mesh compartment on the front of one of the straps, though great for a mini phone or lip salve, doesn't fit my phone (basic nokia) - let alone anything bigger.

The waist strap is fine, but in a perfect world would have a bit more support so the whole thing would sit (even) more comfortably on the hips, and within that extra supportive bit I suppose it could have a little pocket for phones, tissues etc. But it was quite ok as it was.
