Páramo's best selling walking trousers, the Cascadas provide complete comfort and full waterproof protection in a wide variety of outdoor pursuits.

The Nikwax Analogy fabric cleverly maintains excellent breathability by doing away with the need for a bonded membrane but nevertheless remains reliably waterproof: water resistant outer fabric is twinned with a 'pump liner' which moves moisture from the inside out, so it never gets a chance to reach the wearer. On top of this is the simple yet ingenious venting design: long leg zips are backed with a poppered storm flap, so you can open them to allow warm air to escape.

All that breathability and venting provides the solution to an age-old problem: the need for regular stops to pull on or pull off a waterproof shell. The Cascadas can stay on all day!

Comfort, warmth and breathability
Reviewed By Mary, 07 Oct 2014

Wonderfully warm and adaptable - from dog walking on the beach in UK, to walking in sub-zero frozen Sweden - with added baselayer. They keep you warm, dry and breathe if you work hard you can vent via the poppers and zips in the leg.
A very adaptable 3 season trouser. Superbly made and will last for years. Keep up the breathe-ability by washing and reproof with once a year.

Fantastic trousers and Warm
Reviewed By Caroline, 28 Sep 2014

I brought these trousers after taking advice from the Keswick store Feb 2014 and trying on a dozen different types of walking trousers. Finally these felt best and very comfortable.
Since then I have winter walked in snow and ice, strong wind and heavy rain, up and down mountains. I have not got cold or wet once. A week in the lakes and another week in Snowdonia in full winter conditions, and many times since. The linings do pump the water and sweat out brilliantly. I have found them quite tough, scrambling and crampon wearing, but I have been careful with the fabric, because I don't what to damage them.
They are hot/ warm to wear and for me 3-4 season use only, to hot for summer use, I normally open the leg vents in winter to cool off abit.
Fantastic trousers, now i need to buy another pair, as I have lost weight, and my pair are too big - never mind :-)
I buy men's trousers because the leg lenght is longer, I'm 6'1".

great for keeping you warm when wet
Reviewed By Quinten, 15 Aug 2013

They do claim to be waterproof but my experience is that they are more shower proof, however if you get wet they retain their warmth and windproof abilities. The zips tend to loosen off after some time allowing ingress of water etc. The outer material is quite fragile and I find I am constantly worrying about rips and abrasions
on a plus side they are very warm and windproof

Superb all round trousers
Reviewed By John, 25 Apr 2013

These trousers are a revelation. The fabric is wonderfully silky and comfortable to wear. They really are waterproof, I have not used overtrousers since getting them. They open with zips at the side for ventilation. Altogether a superb product, I cannot recommend them too highly.
