Great Lightweight Stove
Reviewed By , 29 May 2013

This stove has been a life saver for me and the earlier risers at scout camp this Easter. In the early morning hours our other stoves were too frozen to work. This stove heats the gas before it gets to the spreader, allowing the stove to work well in low temperatures.
The small and easy to fold design works brilliantly and fits inside the Vango Cook kit 1.
The metal braided tube for the gas connecter is firm, yet flexible, but because it is metal, it tends to not sit in the position you move it to causing the stove or gas cylinder to move about - unless full or with a bit of weight on it (kettle).
Most connectors on a gas cylinder tend to have a small discharge when disconnecting from the cylinder, I have experienced none of this with several different primus cylinders (not tried other companies).
Pros: Small and fast stove that is exceptionally easy to use, grips pans and although it flexes in use, it can still have fairly heavy pans on it.
Cons: Metal tube can pull the stove over unless the legs are anchored or there is weight on top of it. Can also put a stone under the connection to the stove to stop it pulling down.
My usage: Scout leader on camps, and DoE expeditions in the mountains in Wales.
Very pleased with this purchase.

Primus express spider stove

Excellent build quality.used for Motorcycle Rally's and D of E expeditions. Very lightweight easy to pack and use! Good boil time especially when using wind shield. If you cant be bothered with packing a disposable lighter in the bag provided then go for next model up .However for price difference stick with this one as both perform equally as good as each other
