Incorporating M.A.D. Technology (Mechanically Advanced Disinfection), the Aquapure Traveller delivers safe, effective purification without chemicals, so anyone can use it!

It is designed to provide water that tastes good and is safe to drink anywhere. Its filter cap will purify an average of 350L during its lifetime - that's about 700 bottles of water you haven't had to buy and 700 empties you haven't had to throw away! Additionally, it's the only portable water purifier officially endorsed by the Hospital of Tropical Diseases in London.

Through a combination of various filtration and purification technologies, the Aquapure Traveller eliminates viruses and bacteria such as E-Coli, Polio, Hepatitis A and others, and waterborne pathogens including Giardia, Crytosporidium, etc. It also removes toxic chemicals, heavy metals and even bad taste, odours and sediment.

I used this product in Belize/Guatemala and it saved me having to buy daily bottled water. I think it's the only water filter system for travellers that is approved by the World Health Assoc. I used just tap water (not recommended for drinking) and what came out of the filtered bottle was pure and good. There's no pump - it's just like a sports drinking bottle, but with a filter. So you can drink purified water through the filter as soon as you fill the bottle with any sort of water.
The plastic bottle looks cheap and I wonder how long it will last. The pull-up drinking nipple became loose very quickly although it doesn't cause the bottle to leak. Unless you're very strong, you need both hands to squeeze the bottle in order to drink.
