Durable with a fantastic warmth to weight ratio

The Rab Ascent 900 Sleeping Bag offers fantastic value for money, quality build and construction, durability and low weight for the warmth of the bag. It is designed in a semi rectangular shape that is more user friendly for general purpose use or for those buying their first Down bag.

The Pertex Microlight fabric with its soft handling makes a snug and comfortable lining that helps keeps you comfortable and warm, when the dernier of the same fabric is increased and woven with ripstop it creates a strong, lightweight, windproof and breathable fabric, perfect for the shell of a sleeping bag.

The main insulation of the bag comes from 900g of 650 Fill Power European Duck Down, while an internal neck baffle and drawstring hood help reduce any drafts which might cool the bag down. An anti-snag webbing tape behind the zip ensures a smooth close while an angled foot box ensures your feet are not feeling trapped but instead warm and snug.

Probably the best sleeping bag ever
Reviewed By Heather, 30 Mar 2015

This sleeping bag is an absolute godsend. I'm a cold sleeper and even wrapped up in blankets in my 3 season bag I would still wake up cold on a spring night. Having slept in this bag at near freezing and woken up as warm as I would in my own house I'm sure that I'm never going to have that problem again! Sleeping in this bag is like being given a giant hug all night long.

Practically, it squashes down pretty small in a compression sack (provided) and the waterproof shell and down mean that if your bag gets a bit damp you'll still stay nice and warm.

I cannot praise this bag enough - if you are in doubt about spending the money then don't be - it's worth every penny!

Fabulous Sleeping bag - perfect for Kilimanjaro
Reviewed By Anwen, 12 Mar 2015

I love this sleeping bag. It kept me warm on Kilimanjaro (with a silk liner) as well as on a couple of freezing deserts, and in Tibet and the Himalayas when everyone else was complaining about how cold they were. It is expensive but worth it in my opinion.

Excellent downs bag
Reviewed By Nirupam, 26 May 2014

Having just used it on a camping trip to Brecon Beacons, I am happy to recommend it. Despite the consistent wet weather and damp insides of the tent, the bag was dry inside and kept me totally warm. The outer shell did catch some dampness however I reckon it is natural.

It is very light for its size and packs snug too.
