The Men's Bergen Pants are a waterproof and breathable over trouser designed for use in mountain environments, but weighing in at just 345g these trousers are also ideal for year round use in all terrains.

The pants have been revised and now use a mixture of mid-weight 3 layer eVent and abrasion resistant heavy weight eVent in high wear areas. 3/4 length side zips with water resistant zips and internal storm flaps make getting the trousers on and off simple, especially useful over mountain boots. Reinforced, articulated knee section helps with abrasion resistance and improves fit and movement.

Windsor Beginner
Easy to get in and out of. Ample pocket space.
Would be nice if they were a bit more water resistant

Event is fantastic fabric.
Too long in the leg so knee rubs when going uphill; needed a short fit but not available.

Lightweight waterproof shell. I've used the earlier version on the GR20 and found them to be tough and durable. Waterproof provided you keep them clean.
In winter I would prefer full length zips, however, this in not a show stopper. They are light enough to walk all day and put them on at the start of the route.
