The Boreas Pull-On is a lightweight stretch pull-on designed to offer protection from the sun and the elements when in the mountains.

The Boreas Pull-On has been designed to offer fantastic sun protection when climbing or travelling in mountainous areas. The fabric does also offer some wind resistance but this does not compromise breathability and makes the Boreas a fantastic mid layer for both warm and cold conditions.

The Boreas Pull-On now has an added, unseen extra. Polygiene antibacterial treatment has been added to the fabric meaning that it is ideal for multi day trips and more appealing (to you and your friends...)

Great Pull over
Reviewed By Jake, 17 Apr 2015

I have been using it for a while now and it is great to have. I always take it when ever I am climbing. I like the fact the hood does not obstruct any movement of the head when worn with a helmet.

Great Kit
Reviewed By Reece, 08 Feb 2015

I Purchased this when I was taking part in Ten Tors because I am not a great fan of heavy fleece's but I decided to try this and it has been great, so comfortable and great and nice to wear with just a base layer underneath and have had It for about a year and wear it at least 2 times a week and I will wear just walking around the shops or when I go walking because it comfortable under a Jacket as well and also it is the quality that you expect from Rab

Never leave home without it!
Reviewed By lee, 21 Jan 2015

Just a great bit of kit, I found it very wind resistant and breathable. gets used every time I out in the country fits nicely over a base layer making it warm but not too uncomfortable. The Boreas is the best I have found so far at a great price. easy to wash, doesn't take up any room in the back pack. never looks dated.

Used for everything
Reviewed By Martin, 30 Dec 2014

I wasn't sure what I'd use this for, but find I use it for everything.

It takes the edge off the wind, whether over a base or mid-layer. I find it perfect for mountain and fell use when active. It manages the sweat really well in combination with my layers.

It is NOT windproof, it is wind resistant, and over a suitable layer it lets just enough wind through to draw the sweat away and keep you dry when working hard in the mountains.

Not used it as a base layer yet, may do as my only layer in the summer. So far I'm happy with it over my base or mid-layer.

It's flexible, and that's the key to any layering system in the mountains.

Great base layer/,mild weather top
Reviewed By Erik, 02 Jan 2014

Used as a base layer when ice and mixed climbing and works like a dream! Long sleeves come in very handy and the hood fits comfortably under my helmet. Sizing is a bit odd though, I bought an L and it's quite wide around the waist and tight round the shoulders (?!?). Would definitly recommend it to my friends.

Great top
Reviewed By Paul, 15 Jul 2013

This top is a great multi-purpose top. I have used mine as a base layer, as secondary layer and as an outer layer. Very light weight and it actually looks good aswell as doing what it's meant for.

Brilliant sun-shirt
Reviewed By Paul, 11 Jul 2013

Stretchy, very light, high UPF. It's great for hot weather when you need to protect yourself from the sun. Completely non-restrictive due to the stretch.

Blocks some of the wind to take the edge off it, but allows enough through to provide relief when you're starting to cook.

Odd sizing (as it turns out, it's usual for Rab) as I bought a Medium but would probably have been best with a Small. The sleeves are way too long and the hood is so big it severely reduces my field of vision. It's also a bit frail, when wearing a hip-belt the fabric has become visibly worn by my belt.

Great bit of kit, gets lots of use hiking, climbing, mountain biking.

Fantabulous for Running, Cycling, Walking.........

Its so good I recommended the ladies version to my wife, and considering its not in pink she bought it!!!!
A great all round base and/or mid layer depending on your activity.

When i first looked at the Rab Boreas pull on , i was a little bit unsure if it was up for the job. I shouldn't have had any doubts this top is perfect. its light weight, wind proof, for such a light weight top it keeps you warm, allows good movement, great chest pocket and i love the hood.It will be a must when doing Ben Nevis this year.

Bought as soon as I saw it, have used it loads from mountain biking, on the beach to in the hills with the dogs. Fabric is great and has good wind resistance but feels breathable at the same time. Quality for the price.

Excellent shirt
Reviewed By Nigel, 15 May 2012

I've been using this since Christmas, and was initially sceptical as to why it would be so different and whether I had spent my money wisely. However, it has proved very useful in all conditions and has kept me warm and comfortable on the fells. The hood is a bonus and has proved indispensable!

Great running top
Reviewed By jeremy, 27 Apr 2012

I had seen this in a magazine review some time ago, and when I tried it on in the shop knew that it would be an excellent buy.
Its very lightweight, soft, and the windproofing (already tested on a number of runs) is excellent.
This is an ideal running top, either used alone in warmer temperatures, or over something light to maintain warmth, and stop a cold breeze.

Very useful bit of kit
Reviewed By Daniel, 05 Dec 2011

This is a great top, even ignoring the cheap price, very versatile, its very thin and light, gives a surprising amount of wind protection and a handy sized chest pocket. THE only down side is i find it takes a couple of washes to get fresh again after a sweaty trip!

Excellent Mid Layer
Reviewed By Gavin, 04 Dec 2011

Although i enjoy hillwalking, i am a very keen mountain biker. I bought this top and can't beleive how good and versatile it is. It stretches well, wicks well & drys very quickly. The hood also fits perfectly under a cycle helmet removing the need for a skull cap. I'm sure this would be just as good for walking/ mountaineering etc. All in all an excellent buy and would highly recommend.
