The Generator Pull-on is a lightweight, synthetic filled pull-over.

The Generator Pull-on takes everything we know about lightweight Pertex fabrics and water-resistant synthetic shells and combines them to form an incredibly light and warm pull-on. The Generator Pull-On is the ideal companion in the UK Mountains, warm enough to be useful in the Winter but still light enough to be carried year round.

The Pertex Quantum repels light rain and snow but when that is overwhelmed the Primaloft fill will still maintain its loft and keep you warm.

Never leave with out it.
Reviewed By Adam, 21 Aug 2013

So warm, yet it's so light and packs down so small, there is no reason not to have this in your kit. Although down is meant to better at heat retention, this is Great Britain, so synthetic could be a wise idea.

Super light and super warm
Reviewed By Luke, 12 Aug 2013

When I bought this I was just shocked that ut was so light, when I had it on it was as if it weighed nothing. The jacket is really warm and was fine when I took it to Peru for 3 weeks.
I never got it wet so I wouldn't know how it fairs in the rain but now that im back in Cornwall I doubt I will have to wait long to find out!
Do Buy if you have the money!!

Add this to your 'Do not leave without' list

Since buying this piece of kit I haven't once left without it, whether it's a 5 day wild country hike or a afternoon bike ride along the river.

Its weight- comparable to a pair of walking socks, and packs down to just as small.

Heat retention/regulating properties are excellent and have used this in the blizzards while in the Alps under a Latok Tour Jacket, as well as during the summer in Kilimanjaro when it got too windy and I was neither too hot nor too cold- how it does it, I don't know; never-the-less, it does it well (I suspect magic is used somewhere in the process but I cannot point speculation just yet).

When wet however, you'd expect it to lose all that magic. And the little blighter surprises again- after a daunting river crossing when I was in the TA, the majority of my gear was soaked- cold, wet, and wondering why I was there I put on my Generator. Though I was still wet and couldn't feel whether I was male of female, I warmed up quite a bit (again, I still suspect magic is involved).

Comes with a small whistle too. Every little helps.

Hand-warmer pockets aren't the best around, but with some gloves on they really do a great job considering how thin they are.

Overall, a must buy- price is steep, but well worth its weight in gold- as the old saying goes, 'It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog.' And this dog has enough fight to be matched against much bigger rivals, and can still be put in a hand bag (quite literally).

Perfect for the Great British weather!
Reviewed By Nick, 29 Nov 2012

I used this up in the Black Mountains a few weeks ago, whilst others were putting on heavier fleeces and waterproof jackets to keep the wind out I simply put this over my lightweight fleece and hey presto, it kept me warm, kept the wind out and when the cloud level came down I didn't worry about having to put another layer on just for a bit of moisture. The PrimaLoft insulation is the way to go with the ever changing British weather. A great design with an easy access zip and the lighter insulation in the arms works well if you're prone to giving off a bit of warmth when on the go. Packs down really well into the stow pocket which makes a change and doesn't take up a lot of room in the pack. Very impressed and definitely one to recommend.

Super Warm
Reviewed By , 14 Oct 2012

Great jacket for putting under clothes or over, lightweight warm and looks great. I was going for a full down jacket to keep me warm but the staff did point out to me not to get them wet so only ideal for cold dry weather. So he advised to try rab pull on to go under other items because it wasn't bulky. Glad i did its been more useful than i expected. Its so light to wear you dont know you have it on. great product.
