- Seriously warm. Great for being inactive in cold/cool weather but way too hot to do anything active in. Pertex Endurance and Hydrophobic Down take the worry out of being caught in light rain the achilles heel of Down. Compresses down fairly well and not the lightest jacket around but it is packing a lot of down inside. Ideal for cool weather camping/lunch stops atop Munros. I did a lot of research and this and the Neutron came out on top.
- None..... fit, form and function are all top notch. £300 is a lot of money but only the best materials have been used. Mountain Equipment and Montane also have warm jackets available but don't use the HydroDown. The Rab Positron ticks all the boxes.
