- Bought this after reading nothing but positive reviews about it, and I have to say it doesn't disappoint. It's super-breathable and and even going up Snowdon I didn't realise I was sweating hard till I took my pack off and felt my t-shirt.
That being said, I wore this on the hills in quite possibly the windiest conditions I've ever met - where standing upright was a real challenge - and in those conditions the wind did penetrate. However that takes some doing and the jacket isn't sold as wind proof - for those conditions you'd need a proper hard shell or full wind stopper soft shell.
In anything other than gale-force winds, it's faultless. Suffice to say I also wear this on cool mornings with a light breeze when cycling and I can't feel the wind.
Takes light showers well and dries quickly, but obviously no replacement for a hard shell in a downpour.
Great buy overall.
