Ideally suited to all active outdoor pursuits

A lightweight shell ideally suited to all active outdoor pursuits. Neatly styled and featured, the Rab Men's Xiom Jacket provides excellent protection against changeable weather. Durable enough in the mountains and great on windswept moors, this is a brilliant year-round, all-rounder.

The Pertex Shield+ 3-layer fabric fuses a nylon face to a PU film laminate to create a durable windproof and waterproof barrier with excellent breathability.

A wired peak keeps the hood firm in front of bad weather, keeping wind and rain off your face. The hood is also helmet compatible, making this jacket an excellent choice for climbers.

A-line pockets are carefully placed to be easily accessible even when you are wearing a pack, a harness, or both, and their YKK Aquaguard water repellent zips help to keep their contents dry in wet weather.

Well designed
Reviewed By Steve, 04 Jun 2014

Looking for a light, waterproof and well-designed jacket, and after considering several different brands, I decided purchase the Rab Xiom. I wore this over over a MeCo 165 Long Sleeve Zip Tee on a 2 day hiking trip across Dartmoor, on a fairly intense hike. It performed brilliantly. The performance in the wet and the design features are great, my favourite being the hood adjustment, enabling you to have a snug fit around your face. The added benefit of underarm vents added to the breathability, which was good. I normally go for a medium fit, but found this a bit restrictive around the shoulders. Sleeve length is slightly longer than required, but the wrist adjustment worked well. With a back pack and using walking poles I found this extra sleeve length worked well when stretching on uphill sections.
Overall a great jacket and pleased with the choice I made.

great waterproof jacket

great fit with what seem like longer than normal sleeves which dont ride up the arms during activity.the under arm zip help with ventilation and the hood stays nicely in place even in the strongest of winds and most importantly the jacket kept me dry in some very heavy prolonged rain
