Product Information

Ideally suited to all active outdoor pursuits

A lightweight shell ideally suited to all active outdoor pursuits. Neatly styled and featured, the Rab Men's Xiom Jacket provides excellent protection against changeable weather. Durable enough in the mountains and great on windswept moors, this is a brilliant year-round, all-rounder.

The Pertex Shield+ three-layer fabric fuses a nylon face to a PU film laminate to create a durable windproof and waterproof barrier with excellent breathability.

A wired peak keeps the hood firm in front of bad weather, keeping wind and rain off your face. The hood is also helmet compatible, making this jacket an excellent choice for climbers.

A-line pockets are carefully placed to be easily accessible even when you are wearing a pack, a harness, or both, and their YKK Aquaguard water repellent zips help to keep their contents dry in wet weather.

It's RAB, decent quality with pit zips and both hand warmer pockets and a map pocket. Can't comment on waterproof aspects yet as too new. Lightweight but not quite as light as expected. Decent interior feel when only worn with short sleeved base layer. Dark grey with red fittings fine but more ocular options would be good. Looks good except for Oran-u tan arms!
Certainly doesn't breathe as well as Paramo for example. I am 6ft plus with long arms, but the sleeves on me, even outstretched over my head are about an inch and a half to 2 inches too long. Value is really atrocious if paying full price of- I only nibbled when wife was desperate for ideas for a major present for me and it had discounts etc. Had to remove prices but we are talking a third off

Light weight simple waterproof anorak- great after a few soggy experiences of less waterproof anoraks
Would always be useful to have one inside pocket. If in doubt get one size larger rather than smaller.

Superb coat ! Most breathable coat I have owned in 30 plus years, lightweight and magnificently waterproof.
The arms are strangely long really Not a bad point (unlike being too short) as you can easily pull your hands up your sleeves if your hands are cold , just a ittle strange.
