Poor stitching & hole too wide.
Reviewed By Andreas, 10 Feb 2014

Sending this balaclava back, as the hole is too wide and/or large, leaving thus a very big area of the face unprotected; —especially for a stretch-material balaclava. (My head circumference is 59-60cm roughly when measured for helmets.) What causes me to give this product only 1 star, is the fact that the stitching of the face seams is very badly thought out. Not only is there no snug tight fit possible due to small off-standing bumps on the left and right on eye-level height in the hole itself, as can even be seen in the image, ..which I thought was perhaps due to the shape of the dummy on which this product was placed, ..but in addition the seams around the hole for the face are stitched together in the most clumsy manner, right under the right eye the joining of the material causes it to create a slight bump where more "cool air conditioning", in addition to the bad fit permitting the same as mentioned above left and right of the eyes, is possible. The bump in the joint as described can be seen top of the left eye-brow in the image of this product (below the left seam and left of the Rab logo)! Not certain what Rab had in mind when they developed this balaclava ... On the positive side, the material is very warm (Polartech) and the rest of the seams are well made, but that is not good enough in my experience in the hills, when serious wind hits the face in icy temps.
