Product Information

Durable with a fantastic warmth to weight ratio

The Rab Women's Ascent 700 Sleeping Bag offers fantastic value for money, quality build and construction, durability and low weight for the warmth of the bag. It is designed in a semi rectangular shape that is more user friendly for general purpose use or for those buying their first Down bag.

The Pertex Microlight fabric with its soft handling makes a snug and comfortable lining that helps keeps you comfortable and warm, when the dernier of the same fabric is increased and woven with ripstop it creates a strong, lightweight, windproof and breathable fabric, perfect for the shell of a sleeping bag.

The main insulation of the bag comes from 700g of 650 Fill Power European Duck Down, while an internal neck baffle and drawstring hood help reduce any drafts which might cool the bag down. An anti-snag webbing tape behind the zip ensures a smooth close while an angled foot box ensures your feet are not feeling trapped but instead warm and snug.

Only used this sleeping bag once so far, on the W trek in Torres del Paine, Patagonia. I used it with a liner but certainly was never cold. Really liked the room in the bag - I was able to move about a little which I prefer to the straight jacket variety of bag.
Bulky enough bag and not the lightest but this is to be expected from a warm down bag

Wonderfully warm, great size and packs down really small. Taken on a motorcycling trip to Scotland, I needed something lightweight and small pack sized, but also warm. This was perfect. Never purchased down before, and never been as warm either (I really feel the cold)! Slightly wider fit is great for staying comfortable all night - plenty of room to move about. I'm fairly short 5'3", so the length was great for me, taller people might struggle.
Condensation does settle on the bag outer if the tent isn't insulated, so well worth covering with a breathable lightweight blanket to keep the bag dry and maximise its effectiveness.
