Superb breathability with wind and rain resistance

The Women's Vapour-rise Jacket is an incredibly breathable yet wind and water resistant softshell that can be worn next to skin or as a mid or outer layer.

The Vapour Rise system uses a microfleece inner fabric to wick perspiration away from the skin then the Pertex Equilibrium outer fabric pulls this moisture to the outside of the fabric where it quickly dries. This system makes the Vapour Rise Jacket ideal for a wide range of activities from hiking and climbing to polar exploring. The women’s specific fit sits close to the body around the chest yet provides freedom for the arms and lower body.

As well as fantastic moisture management, the outer is wind resistant and has a DWR finish to shed rain and snow. The fleece lining also provides a good dose of warmth for when the temperature drops.

The hood is helmet compatible and fully adjustable so you can find a great fit, and also has a wired peak and a roll-down tab.

My new favourite jacket
Reviewed By Charlotte, 27 Jun 2014

I needed a light coat to provide a little protection from the elements for hiking, climbing, and general wear on windy days.

This coat provides excellent protection from the wind and the fleece lining keeps me toasty on colder days. It also provides good breathability so is very useful for moderately strenuous activities.

The outer material on the coat is quite durable and I don't have to worry too much about the possibility of it tearing when i'm out climbing.

This coat dries incredibly quickly and is also super light and packs down very small which makes it ideal for crumpling up and shoving into a rucksack.

My favourite features of the coat are the large pockets, the easily adjustable (by velcro) sleeve cuffs, and the length of the jacket - I find that with some brands jacket length is quite short, but with this jacket the length is ideal and the bottom of the jacket doesn't ride up due to an adjustable cord around the rim.

All round good jacket - well worth the money.
