Superb breathability with wind and rain resistance

The Women's Vapour-rise Jacket is an incredibly breathable yet wind and water resistant softshell that can be worn next to skin or as a mid or outer layer.

The Vapour-rise system uses a microfleece inner fabric to wick perspiration away from the skin then the Pertex Equilibrium outer fabric pulls this moisture to the outside of the fabric where it quickly dries. This system makes the Vapour Rise Jacket ideal for a wide range of activities from hiking and climbing to polar exploring. The women’s specific fit sits close to the body around the chest yet provides freedom for the arms and lower body.

As well as fantastic moisture management, the outer is wind resistant and has a DWR finish to shed rain and snow. The fleece lining also provides a good dose of warmth for when the temperature drops.

The hood is helmet compatible and fully adjustable so you can find a great fit, and also has a wired peak and a roll-down tab.

Fantastic versatile jacket
Reviewed By Hannah, 08 Feb 2014

Probably the most versatile jacket I own. Warm and comfy, but breathable; could be worn as a shell in spring/autumn or a mid-layer when it's colder. Surprisingly waterproof; took a 10 min rain shower without getting me wet. If you want to wear more than one layer underneath, get a size larger than your usual as the material has hardly any stretch. I never roll the hood away as I find the wire in the brim means it won't sit in a comfy shape, but that might just be me.

Light and comfortable.

This is a lovely jacket with a good warmth to weight ratio, great in stopping wind. I wore it with an Icebreaker base layer. The only negative point is that I found it to have a cold area in the crook of the elbow.

Wow - fantastic jacket!

I ordered this jacket thinking that it would be shower proof and only really suitable for autumn/spring use but when it arrived I was so surprised!
Instantly I fell in love with the colour (although I would describe it as teal rather than peacock!).
It is fully (micro) fleece lined, sleeves included, making this very snuggly warm - particularly for a lightweight jacket.
It has 3 pockets on the outside, all just in the right place to be useable (no inside pocket) and a zipper under each arm to vent your pits whilst out on your adventure.
The hood is by far the best shaped and sized of any jacket I have bought and the wired peak is perfect for keeping the rain out of your face and when not in use rolls nicely to form a nice high neck (as pictured).

I wore this jacket over the weekend and went walking behind waterfalls. I got absolutely drenched and was so delighted that not even one drop leaked in!

Another funky little feature on this jacket is the wrists - just before the actual cuff the sleeves are slightly wider which is perfect for balling your fists or tucking gloves in to.

I absolutely love this jacket and really feel that I got a bargain when I bought it in the sale but to be honest I would not be at all disappointed had I paid full price!

It is perfectly shaped, a nice longer back to keep out the draughts and fits perfectly under a climbing harness - I can't wait to take this out on the crag and give it a real good seeing to!

Spend your money, you won't be disappointed :)
