An exceptional blend of stability, grip and comfort

A multi-terrain boot perfectly suited to the demands of those who venture from high trails into gentle alpine routes. Loaded with performance features, you’ll find the Scarpa Men's R-Evo gives an exceptional blend of stability, grip and comfort that allows you to really explore the mountains.

First and foremost, it fits as snug as a sock. The Sock-Fit construction means that the tongue, flex-point and collar are made from a single piece of ergonomically shaped Schoeler S-Tech technical fabric that wraps around your foot. The Speed Lacing System allows for simple and speedy adjustment of the internal volumes of the boot to hold it in place. The fit achieved is incredibly precise and gives you the utmost confidence on any terrain.

The Ankle Padding System is made of special memory foam that moulds itself to the shape of your ankle as you’re wearing it to give it supreme comfort and support. It recovers its original shape after every use. The Heel Tension System cradles your heel and adapts to the severe stress derived from steep routes to keep it stable and prevent torsional twists on steep gradients and uneven surfaces.

Scarpa have collaborated with Vibram to create the Fagus Lite outsole, shaping the grooves to get maximum traction and sculpting the heel to give stability on scrambling terrain.

Finally, the Gore-Tex Performance Comfort lining is durably waterproof and breathable, keeping your feet comfortable and dry in a wide range of conditions and on the most testing terrain.

Great boot!
Reviewed By Marcus, 22 May 2015

Wanted to try these on ever since I heard they have a memory foam ankle support and neoprene tongue. Normally I find boots a little restrictive and tight around the ankles. Not with these. They're comfortable and give great support. Was a little out of my price range but once you put them on you can just tell how great they are. Definately use the boot fitting service I found out I needed 1/2 a size bigger.

No good for long distance walks or rocky terain
Reviewed By Sean, 04 May 2015

I have just completed the West Highland Way in these boots and found they weren’t up to the job. There are two main problems with these boots. Firstly, the sock tongue is too thin to strap the boot tightly and therefore doesn’t hold the foot firmly enough in rocky terrain without you feeling the laces through the tongue. Secondly, the foot bed is too thin. For example, it is thinner than my old Rangers and current Manta Pros. This means when you are doing 20+ miles in a day, the foot gets sore on the base. I also got blisters, but that could have been my feet rather than the boots. The boot were waterproof, light and reasonably breathable, although when the boot got wet, the orange die came off on the lining of the boot. I have been a long term Scarpa fan, and have had 6 pairs of their boots over the years, and will buy another pair, but these are advertised as boots for “those who venture from high trails into gentle alpine routes”, and I don’t think they are up to that.

Excellent boot & service
Reviewed By Peter, 27 Apr 2015

Bought a pair in March from Shrewsbury shop. The manager there is excellent both in terms of listening to your requirements and finding the correct size and fit. The boots are really comfortable, right from first putting them on and light but still sturdy. Conquered Striding Edge and Helvellyn in them last week!

Great boot

A great boot. I agree with Colin that it is wise to use the Cotswold fitting service. I was very surprised to learn from the service that I need a size larger than I thought. Great service from my local Salisbury store.

Great boots !
Reviewed By David, 31 Dec 2014

These have got to be the best fabric boots I have ever owned, comfortable straight from the box. Big thank you to the fitter at the Bournemouth store who spared no detail in making sure they fitted perfectly, explaining more about my recent plantar fasciitis than my GP had done. Worn them for two months now, still easy to wear and no water ingress.

Excellent all round walking boots
Reviewed By Colin, 01 Dec 2014

A very comfortable and well made pair of boots suitable for a wide range of terrains. I had them fitted at the South Cerney store and would strongly recommend this as I needed a half size larger than I would normally buy.

Best Boots I have ever bought.

Over 30 years of mountain walking and numerous boots these are the best I have ever had. I am a fan of Scarpa but these are exceptional and the sales hype is justified.

Comfortable boots with room for wider toes
Reviewed By Peter, 01 Jul 2014

I purchased the R-Evo boots in the St Albans store on 01-May-14 and they have been used at least twice a week since on 13-mile walks in Hertfordshire and the Chiltern Hills, plus a fairly challenging week-long Ramblers Holiday in the Lake District, over lots of fells, rocky paths, scree slopes and some easy scrambling.
The boots were very comfortable out of the box and are even better now. They are quite light but feel tough and supportive, with a strong rubber rand to help protect the toe box. I like the lacing method as the leather uppers are supple enough to easily adjust the volume of the boot to my foot shape. However, when lacing up the boots, the laces often slip off the third-from-top lacing eyes which seem to be positioned at the wrong angle. Once laced, there are no other problems with the lacing, but it’s just a niggle that I have to live with. I like the stiffness of the boots - they are fine on rocky paths, but not so stiff as to cause any foot pain (which I’ve experienced with other boots). The boots have remained fully waterproof, but its early days, so time will tell. The soles seem quite grippy, but the tread is quite shallow compared with some other boots, so I hope they don’t wear out too quickly.
In summary, I’m very pleased with the boots so far, but will have to wait and see how hard-wearing the soles will be.

Lived Up To Expectations
Reviewed By Ian, 25 Jun 2014

I have just taken my R-Evo's on their first proper outing today. I went up Blencathra via Hall's Fell.
I am really pleased with them. They have taken no wearing in, they lace up tightly with little slippage and they are light on the feet. An excellent mid season boot, giving my Manta's a rest until late Autumn.

Brilliant Fit, Comfort, Functionality
Reviewed By Neil, 29 May 2014

Just been trekking in the Himalayas with these boots and they were brilliant. Coped well with lower paths, traversing glaciers, as well as with the scree, snow and ice of the 18,000ft Cho La mountain pass. Great fit makes for a sure footed boot unlike some leather boots which can feel heavy and clumsy.
Broke them in on 15-20 mile walks around Kinder and Bleaklow - straight out the box with no blisters. Mine are a 1/2 size larger than I would normally have but just perfect !!

Great Boots

Went to Belfast last Saturday and the guys were more than helpful ended up going for these boot you just have to try them on to see why. On Sunday straight out of the box went up Errigal at 751 Meters in North Donegal and then across over to Markoght at 555 meters then back to the car park how would I rate the boots 10/10 great grip easy on the feet and fits just like a glove just try them on and you will buy.

Amazing boots
Reviewed By Caroline, 20 Apr 2014

I am thrilled with these boots, the sock fit uppers are so comfortable, soft, supportive, no creasing material at the sides when you walk. The material is really nice, suede, and a rubber front rand. There are really light to wear.
The boots have a locking points for the laces 3 hooks down, really like this, pull tight and then do the top bit, makes it easier to make a better fit when putting the boots on.
The sole is flexible enough for walking, toes and ball of the foot for paths and roads, but from the back to ball of foot is really stiff and great for scrambling and rocky places, I did not feel any sharp rocks or stones. The rubber rand protected the toe area really well and gave me confidence I would not wreck my new boots scrambling. The sole has good grip, it reminders me of trainers.
I wanted a pair of boots to walk on roads, tracks, paths and scrambling and some mountain use, 3 season boots, and I found it.
One week breaking in (not much though) and then completed Kirk fell and Mosedale Horseshoe, 7 hours later and they were great, and no blisters !!! Me I was knackered.
Quite frankly they are amazing, comfortable, grippy, stiff and flexible - fantastic
