Leighton Buzzard Enthusiast
- I walk Chiltern hills footpaths virtually daily avg 25-30 miles week. I've tried - and sold on or given away due to weight/fit/feel - Scarpa Rangers, Altberg Malhams, Aku fabric, and Lowa Renegades in the last 3 years. The last boots I got on with were Nevada Countys obsolete now for many years. That is until I bought these ScarpaTerra which I am delighted with. Fit is perfect (for me) with no heel lift, no rotation when traversing hill slopes, and no toe shunt on steep hills. Leather is slipper soft but due to pliant fit still nicely supportive. No idea how long they will last me but to be honest am so relieved to find a comfortable all leather boot at last that i would be prepared to replace them as often as necessary. Shall be purchasing another pair very shortly anyway to put in the cupboard, just in case they stop making them!
- Not a dislike, just an observant ion. These are more akin to rugged trainers than a 3 season hiking boot so if you are into more than the occasional foray into the rockier stuff these are not for you.
