2) Long baseplate makes bearings more accurate.

3) Luminous details (on needle, bezel and baseplate) make night navigation much easier.

4) Romer scales for 1:25k (OS Explorer, Harvey Superwalker), 1:50k (OS Landranger) , and 1:40k (Harvey Mountain Maps)
