The Suunto Ambit 2 is the GPS for explorers and athletes. All you need for all you do in the outdoors - navigation, speed, heart rate, altitude, weather conditions and features for running, biking and swimming.

As well as providing powerful navigation functions, the fully featured GPS complements the multi-function altimeter, correcting pressure-based altitude readings with GPS info. In addition to the various ascent/descent trends which the altimeter will log for you, the barometer will do the same for pressure, allowing you to keep an eye on changing conditions.

For multi-sport enthusiasts, the Ambit2 has the ability to switch between functions while logging data, whether you're swimming, cycling or running. Extra info can be delivered through additional sensors (not supplied) as the Ambit2 is compatible with various Suunto PODs (for cadence, etc.) as well as being ANT+ compatible with loads of other devices. Through Movescount.com, data can then be reviewed in detail after your workout by hooking the unit up to your PC or Mac. As well as all that, thousands of Suunto Apps are available to add new functionalities to your watch.

Packed in a glass fibre reinforced casing with a battery life of 16/50 hours, Ambit2 is ready for any adventure.

Great watch, straight out the box! Works brilliantly for running, training and alpine skiing (all I've used it for so far!). Couldn't ask for more. Easy to use with clear information and displays!

Great Watch Many Features Very handy.
Reviewed By aled, 20 Oct 2013

Bought this watch a few weeks ago from the store in Brecon, and its been great to use ever since. the menus during activities are customisable to what you see on each screen with up to 8 screens you can customise, aswell as being able to add and create your own apps into these screens. All amendments have to be made through MovesCount

The GPS connects quick, the longest mine has taken is 20 seconds, iv never lost GPS signal, and i'v been running and biking in some the forest in thick tree coverage.

The Track back feature is handy if you end up getting lost, it calculates for a minuite or so then will guide you back to where you started from.

Routs can be programmed in if your not sure where your going, and the watch will guide you through.

The data from your training is easily downloaded to Suuntos MovesCount, which graphs all your heart rate, speed, altitude.... or what ever data it record for you making it easy for you to analyse. all data can then be downloaded .GPX files which you can upload to Strava or or whatever you like.

The watch is good looking and strong, mine has had a few bashes but you wouldn't think it looking at it, no marks can be seen.

There are many pods that can be added to it i.e. Foot Pod, Bike Pod, Cadence Pod, Power Pod.

Its quite expensive but for what it can do i'd Say its well worth the money. Totally happy i bought it.
