Product Information

The ultra-light incarnation of THE definitive mountain tent.

This legendary design, seen in some of the most remote and extreme locations on the planet, uses DAC Featherlite poles, as used on adventure racing tents where weight is critical, but in a geodesic framework which braces the poles against each other to shake off extremes of weather from any angle. Inner-first pitching means the flysheet lashes the whole of the tent down and presents a sleek, wind-shedding profile.

While the outer is still unmistakably Quasar, the inner has been given an overhaul for improved ventilation, reduced weight and a light, airy feel. The guyline system has also been improved, for even faster and more secure anchoring.

World-class backpacking accommodation with a minimum weight well below 3 kilos, the Ultra Quasar is a stellar four season mountain shelter.

my wife and i spent the night in the tent in the ennerdale valley in the lake district. it was the first time out for this tent, we had a mixture of torrential rain and were battered by high winds, the tent stood up to it all . great product !!!

Does what it says on the tin, bombproof tent. Bought it to replace an Ultra Voyager I bought 15 years ago. Yes they're expensive but they last, well my last one did!

I know I can go camping iin the most inhospitable conditions and this tent would be the last one to let me down.
A good quality tent that will take a bashing.
Price, but then you pay for what you get.
Had a similar design tent from a leading manufacturer who makes tents for school/ national award schemes. Put it up in a high wind, the sound of the poles snapping and tearing the flysheet was almost tuneful, except for the implications...
