Tilley's most popular hat, the beautifully made T3 sports a wide sun-shielding brim and a rain repellent finish. To find your hat size, use a tape measure and draw it right around your head. For the best-looking and most comfortable fit, please make sure that the bottom of the tape touches your eyebrows while resting straight around your head. Hold it there comfortably and do not pull tight! The Tilley Hat fits more comfortably than other hats. It’s designed to be worn low on your head and slightly loose. It should be held on by gravity, not by painful pressure on your forehead! For the proper fit, you should be able to easily insert two fingers, flat, between the middle of your forehead and the front of the Hat. The Hat should be loose enough that you can rotate it to the left and right, and lift it up and down, without friction on your forehead. When it’s windy, use the cord!

+
Very well made and has stood up well to being crumpled up in a suitcase and day-bag whilst travelling through Egypt for two weeks. It has also been through the washing machine and still looks good as new
It's quite expensive for a hat, which might put some people off, but probably worth it in the long run

nice wide brim for sun or rain
size 7 too tight - size 7 1/4 a tad to loose, but have fixed an extra piece of elastic on inner band side to side which is better
