Warmth plus liner
Reviewed By Shona, 30 Oct 2014

Bought this for my daughter's DofE as she does feel the cold but I didn't want to have to splash out on an over the top heavy weight sleeping bag. Means that the sleeping bag will also be suitable for my son to use on his DofE next as he doesn't get so hot. Like the fact it also acts as a liner to keep the inside of her sleeping bag clean.

Cosy and warm

This liner definitely increases the warmth of any sleeping bag and makes cleaning easier. It is comfortable to sleep in and cosy inside. However, in very cold climates it is not suitable for use on its own and I would recommend wearing thermal pyjamas and a fleece. The liner is also quite delicate and, if you are not careful, one's finger and toe nails can easily make holes in the liner. However it is very comfortable and warm and I would definitely recommend using this with a high quality sleeping bag.

Rubbish - made no difference whatsoever

Used one of these during a climb up Kilimanjaro, inside a 4 season sleeping bag. This made absolutely no difference to the warmth. Don't buy!

cosy and warm

I had a micro sleeping bag so this liner gave that extra layer to keep me warm at night. Handy for keeping sleeping bag clean and is easy to wash.

Added a season

I bought this liner to go in my sleeping bag that had a comfort range going to 5 degrees. I used it camping in the Lake District where the overnight temperature was -5. I did also where some thermal base layers, hat and gloves but this liner definately made a big difference.

Not a pain, when travelling by train

The guy who helped me out with this buy was a LEGEND. Going interrailing through Europe in the summer time mainly staying in hostels I was dubious about taking my sleeping bag. I was originally looking for a compact lightweight sleeping bag but this was recommended. I can use it with my sleeping bag for winter too. Great value and I can use it on the night trains to get a cosy wee nights sleep. Excellent buy!

Great value and works a treat
Reviewed By Satu, 31 May 2011

I recently bought one of these to provide a little extra warmth for a camping trip as I get cold at night quite easily. For £20 I didn't actually expect all that much but it has turned out an excellent purchase. The liner packs very small and is very light so doesn't take up room or weigh you down and as it does actually make a big difference it allows you to have an "adjustable" sleeping bag and could also be used on it's own during summer. At the time of purchase, I was tipped to try it both on the outside and inside of the sleeping bag as depending on your size and what you wear in bed it might work better on the outside (the outside of the liner is shiny and the inside more fleecy) but having started the "trial" with the liner on the inside of the sleeping bag I ended up sticking with it as it was very comfortable and there were no issues with the liner wrapping around you in the bag as can happen with cotton liners, etc. The bag is a generous size and although it has no zip (less weight and pack size!) I found it very easy to get in and out of even in the dark, in a small tent. All in all a great buy and a very cheapand convenient way to be As Snug As a Bug In a Rug.
