Great Value (perfect for Trekking)
Reviewed By Darren, 21 Oct 2013

This tent is a great value compared to others in its category. its lightweight, packs down small and stands up to some pretty extreme weather. i keep the inner attached so only takes 5 minutes to completely erect. the downside is its not very roomy for 2, as although the hight is 95cm this is only at the highest point. but a great trekking tent!!

Good small tent
Reviewed By Ian, 30 Sep 2013

Before buying this I only had a gore-tex bivi and a giant 4 person tent so this is my first small tent. I put it up for the first time at night in a campsite and it was a bit fiddly hanging the inner so I recommend keeping the inner attached when you put it away. I am six foot two and the tent was only just long enough for me so there wouldn't be much room for anyone else but it would be fine for two small people. I would prefer a tent which you could just pick up and move but this requires at least a couple of pegs in the ground to stop it from collapsing. I found it tricky (particularly in the rain) getting in and out unless I rolled up the outer door and secured it with the toggle. It was a bit of a chore doing that every time and it would be good to be able to quickly hitch it up with a bit of velcro. On the other hand, the tent did keep me totally dry during nights of persistent rain and it packs up small and is very light, so overall I am pleased with it.

Really Good tent, spent a week in the lakes it was quite a wash out!, but the well designed tent was ace!, everything from the angle of the tent door cover thing to the slightly larger gap between the inner and outer (making getting dressed much easier!)

I slept on my own in it for the week, which was perfect as I had a lot of kit, but would easily fit two people for short stints.

Very Impressed and I would definitely recommend.

Sorry to disagree
Reviewed By Darren, 26 Aug 2013

I bought this tent as recommended by my brother who really liked his. Also reviews on the web all gave positive feedback.
I have just came back from 2 nights in the peak district and now have to buy a new tent as this one ended up in a bin.
Problems started when erecting the tent. Somehow using my bare hands i managed to tear one of the peg hoops. This annoyed me somewhat as i have never managed to do this before. Next i managed to catch the door with my bag on entering and ripped the toggle off. Alarm bells started to ring!! and then the icing on the cake came later on that night when i tried to get in and caught the flap in the zip. As i did not fancy sleeping outside i had no option but to use force and surprise surprise it ripped.
I have had several tents over the years and have never had any of these issues.
Also may i add the clips used to hang the inner part are so stiff that myself and my brother could not undo them by hand and we are both fully grown adults.
Will never touch a Vango again. This is the most expensive tent i have ever bought and it is now in a bin after 2 nights.

Tight for 2
Reviewed By Adam, 21 Aug 2013

It's been said a lot that this tent is small for 2 adults, and this is true, especially if you have equipment as well. That aside its an easy tent to pitch, but I would advise getting some different pegs. It will pack down small, and the weight can be split with ease.

Perfect one and two person tent

The tent is well constructed, easy to install and perfect for 1 and two person hiking and short weekend breaks.

Excellent Tent for an excellent price!
Reviewed By Henry, 25 May 2013

This tent erects quickly no matter what the weather and the construction is simple for any novice. It packs small and light and is great for 1 or 2 nights camping and backpacking. However it is very small and can be a squeeze for two people plus kit!

Perfect for DofE but small for adults
Reviewed By Jaedon, 24 Mar 2013

A 2 man tent, but better suited to 1 plus kit, unless you're up for a romantic weekend.

Just enough headroom to sit up.
Outer area is big enough to store boots without fear of getting wet.
Does get some condensation, but dries out quickly.

My son has this model for DofE & Explorer Scouts, whilst I bought the 300 for use as a cub scout leader. Both good tents, but as an adult, I'm glad I plumped for the larger option.

Good value for money, perfect for DofE and Explorer Scouts, but if money is no problem, consider the Hilleberg Akto or Terra Nova Laser tents.

Awesome tent for british weather!

Iv used this tent a few times and its awesome, spacious for solo camping and enough room for a buddy. Keeps heat in well and packs down pretty small!

Great tent at a great price
Reviewed By spencer, 24 Jan 2013

I have the 2011 model of this tent and it has held up brilliantly. It takes around 5 minutes to pitch on a clam day with no problems. The interior of the tent is a bit tight for 2 however this is supposed to be a lightweight backpacking tent so you make that sacrifice, it would be great for a solo camper and pack yet i manage to fit my 65 litre pack in the porch easily. Great price too

Perfect tent for everything short term
Reviewed By ewan, 31 Dec 2012

This tent is my favourite by far as it offers quick and easy erection. One does start to feel a small bit cramp in it after roughly 5 days if sleeping with a companion, but for weekend trips it's great as its light. For more than a weekend with 2 people it would be advisable for one to get a Banshee 300 as its a lot more 'roomy' with bigger packs.
