All about this product
General
Blencathra and Skiddaw may be the most famous, but they are only two of the 23 northern Lakeland fells explored in this guidebook. Other walks covered in this book include the Caldbeck and Uldale Fells, Great Cockup and High Pike, with treats like Dash Falls, Trusmadoor and Carrock Fell in the area north of Keswick. This guide provides the walker with carefully described routes for these more solitary, but no less rewarding mountains.
A dedicated chapter covers each fell, with a wide variety of routes, both time-honoured and undiscovered depicted on Harvey maps. The author's own topos and detailed summit panoramas help to enhance readers' appreciation of these fells, as well as colour photographs documenting the wild beauty of the northern fells. Also included is information on access and parking, public transport and tried and tested advice for making the most out of a day in the Lakes.
With PVC covers and ribbon bookmarks, this is the seventh of a series of eight guides. Cicerone's Lakeland Fellranger series is inspirational and thorough, providing the walker with a comprehensive and contemporary guide to the fells of the English Lake District.
