Three-layer Drilite fabric gives full protection from the worst the winter can throw at you as well as the toughness required for ski days where all your mountaineering skills are tested. The Men's Magik Jacket also has Mountain Equipment's Super Alpine Hood, which works perfectly with a helmet, and their Alpine fit, giving excellent mobility.
Based on Mountain Equipment's Alpine fit, their Mountain fit has been cut and graded to accommodate additional cold weather layers underneath. It is also an alternative for those who prefer a looser fit. Fabric panels are mapped to the body, balancing weight and reducing unnecessary bulk while ensuring comfort and allowing a full range of movement. A front seam with a reversed camber pulls the jacket inwards towards the body to reduce bulging as you lean over.
The Super Alpine HC Hood is engineered to provide weather protection while maintaining visibility and mobility. Its large volume means it can happily accomodate all manner of climbing helmets and still offer full face protection even when climbing hard. A twin-hoop adjustment system lets you control the hood volume for a precise fit. A triple-layered, laminated and wired visor keeps the elements away from your face, retaining its shape in the most difficult conditions. All adjusters are carefully positioned so that they are easy to find and operate, even when wearing goggles or gloves.
