Product information

The perfect warmth for just about everything, Patagonia’s classic Down Sweater is lightweight and windproof with a 100% recycled polyester ripstop shell and 800-fill-power Advanced Global Traceable Down (goose down certified by NSF International from parent farm to apparel factory to help ensure the birds that supply it are not force-fed or live-plucked).

The Down Sweater is featherweight - superbly compressible but yet perfectly warm to protect you from seasonal chill. The 100% polyester ripstop shell sheds snow and wind while the 800-fill-power Advanced Global Traceable Down remains stabilised with quilted-through construction and a contoured fit; a drawcord hem tightens from inside the zippered handwarmer pockets and an interior chest pocket doubles as a zippered stuffsack with a carabiner clip-in loop. Nylon-bound elastic cuffs seal in heat, and the DWR (durable water repellent) finish sheds moisture.

Patagonia’s mission: We’re in business to save our home planet.

Patagonia appreciate that all life on earth is under threat of extinction. We aim to use the resources we have—our business, our investments, our voice and our imaginations—to do something about it.

Patagonia grew out of a small company that originally made tools for climbers. Today alpinism remains at the heart of a business that still makes clothes for climbing as well as for skiing, snowboarding, surfing, fly fishing, paddling and trail running.

At Patagonia, a love of wild and beautiful places demands participation in the fight to save them, and to help reverse the steep decline in the overall environmental health of our planet we donate our time, services and 1% of our sales to hundreds of grassroots environmental groups all over the world who work to help reverse the tide.
