Tech Wash - 1L

Use Nikwax Tech Wash when your waterproof clothing and gear start soaking up water. This can happen if the Durable Water Repellency (DWR) has been compromised by dirt or if the item has been washed with conventional laundry detergent. Dirt attracts water, and household detergents leave behind hydrophilic residues, which make fabrics absorb water and "wet out" in damp or wet conditions.

 

If your waterproof gear is relatively new or recently treated with a Nikwax waterproofer, cleaning it with Nikwax Tech Wash will effectively remove dirt and detergent residues, while also revitalising the DWR to restore water-repellent performance.

 

You don’t need to re-waterproof every time you clean… With regular use of Nikwax Tech Wash, you can clean your gear 5-6 times before needing to re-waterproof it. If water no longer beads off the fabric after cleaning, it’s time to reapply the appropriate Nikwax waterproofer to restore its water-repellent properties.
