Choose a tent size based on the number of people using it and the gear you need to store. For added comfort, consider sizing up—for example, a four-person tent is ideal for two adults with gear. Larger tents are better for families but may be heavier and harder to pitch.

Common types include dome tents (lightweight and stable), tunnel tents (spacious and family-friendly), geodesic tents (durable for extreme weather), and pop-up tents (quick to pitch). Choose based on your camping style, group size, and weather conditions.

A 3-season tent is designed for spring, summer, and autumn use. It provides ventilation, handles moderate rain and wind, and often includes a rainfly. It’s not suitable for heavy snow or extreme winter conditions.
