We've been proud partners of the National Trust since 2015. And we both believe the same thing: that getting outside - into woodlands, up hills, along coastal paths – is good for us. Really good for us.
Together, we're helping to look after the trails, paths and wild places that let people experience nature first-hand. Because when paths are cared for and landscapes are protected, more people can get out there. More families can explore. More of us can find that headspace that only comes from being surrounded by trees, breathing fresh air, and listening to birdsong.
“We’re proud to be long-standing partners of the National Trust, supporting their Paths and Trails Programme across England and Wales. We believe that people are happier outside so are delighted to partner with an organisation that shares our values and increases access to these amazing spaces. Together, we’ are passionate advocates for the outdoors, our planet and enjoying it responsibly.”
Jamie Kristow, Cotswold Outdoor CEO
In support of the National Trust, we're helping to care for walking trails by working on the Paths and Trails Programme. We're aiming to map, repair and celebrate 15,000km of routes across the UK by 2030. Clear, well-maintained paths mean more people can get outside, while wildlife habitats stay protected.
But good paths aren't enough on their own. Through the Cotswold Outdoor Fund for Improving Access to the Outdoors, we're breaking down barriers that stop people from getting outside. We've already supported groups like the Mason Foundation and Muslim Hikers, and we're backing more each year - because everyone deserves to experience nature.
“Our partnership with Cotswold Outdoor has enabled us to reach more people and help them access the outdoors - whether that’s via walk programming, better marketing of opportunities at our places, development and training for our staff and volunteer or appropriate kit to ensure our walking activity is safe for all audiences. All of this ensures we can continue to enable and inspire great outdoor experiences.”
