National Trust

We’re delighted to be partnering with the National Trust, and contributing to their important work looking after special places for everyone to enjoy.

At Cotswold Outdoor, we’ve been preparing people to discover the outdoors for 50 years, with quality kit from only the best outdoor brands, and expert advice born from our own experiences.

Since beginning our partnership with the National Trust in 2015, we’ve helped to care for walking trails across the UK’s coast and countryside, so that members can explore these unique landscapes for generations to come. We share their love of nature, passion for the great outdoors and commitment to sustainable practices.

Working Together

Through our ongoing partnership, we'll continue our efforts to inspire the nation into exploring and discovering more of the UK’s coast and countryside, safely and responsibly.

We provide the National Trust with funding to help care for walking trails so that more people can access the countryside. We’re working together on our new Paths and Trails Programme, which aims to map, fix and celebrate 15,000km of paths and walking trails by 2030.

By providing clear and robust routes for walkers to use, everyone can feel the uplifting effects of nature while also protecting wildlife habitats.

Together, we created the Cotswold Outdoor fund for improving access to the outdoors, which aims to break down social barriers and ensure everyone feels safe and welcome in the outdoors. The Fund plans to support more walking groups each year and has already awarded grants to the Mason Foundation and Muslim Hikers  (part of the Active Inclusion Network for their work).

We also support National Trust Walk Leaders across the country to take people out walking. Learn more about the importance of their work in this video:
