As well as the basics, think about things like packing cubes to keep your clothes organised, a universal sink plug (you'd be surprised how often you need one!), and a water filter so you don't have to constantly buy bottled water.

A good washbag with different compartments is a great start. To save space and weight, think about taking solid toiletries like shampoo bars and toothpaste tablets. They also have the bonus of not being able to leak in your bag.
