In addition to creating top-quality packs, the Osprey team is focused on becoming the most progressive, transparent and sustainable outdoor hardgoods brand in the world, with a desire to capture the essence of that pioneering spirit that drives us to adventure.

From raw materials and chemistry benchmarks to progressive factory code of conduct agreements and repair programmes that extend a product’s end of life, Osprey is looking at every aspect of their business to ensure they leave as little trace as possible. Osprey is dedicated to creating innovative, high-performance, sustainable gear that reflects the brand’s love of adventure, devotion to the outdoors and steadfast resolve to leave the world better than they found it.

Looking for a backpack that’s as ready as you are? Osprey’s packs don’t just tick the boxes—they redefine them. Designed for comfort, durability, and smart adventure, Osprey’s legendary rucksacks, daypacks, and travel bags have you sorted, rain or shine, mountain or city. Every pack is engineered for an ergonomic fit, with clever touches like AirScape™ backpanels for airflow, custom harness adjustment, and signature features like Stow-on-the-Go pole attachments or integrated raincovers.

Osprey backpacks are your go-to for dependable adventure—whether it’s a city commute, quick hike, or far-flung travels. From the ultra-versatile Osprey Farpoint 40 and active-ready Talon 22 to the roomy Osprey Rook 65, every pack is built for comfort, clever organisation, and long-lasting durability. With eco-friendly recycled materials and loads of smart features, Osprey makes carrying your kit easy wherever you’re heading.

Osprey leads the way in eco innovation too, building bags with recycled fabrics, PFAS-free waterproofing, and circular design features like the ReComp™ fabric and repair schemes, making sustainability as standard as the fit. Wherever you roam, trust Osprey for kit that goes further—on your back and for the planet.

Measure from your C7 vertebra to iliac crest for torso length, and choose the pack size by matching these measurements. Adjustable harness and hipbelt designs help fine-tune the fit for comfort on every adventure.

Women's packs (e.g. Fairview, Ariel) have shorter back lengths, narrower shoulder straps, and specially shaped hipbelts for a tailored fit; men's (Farpoint, Aether) and unisex are designed with longer backs and broader frames.

Models like Farpoint 40 and Fairview 40 are optimised for airline carry-on limits, while larger models are best for longer trips or checked luggage.

Both share practical features and materials but Farpoint is unisex/men’s; Fairview is specifically anatomically shaped for a woman’s body, for better fit and comfort.

Most packs use coated, water-resistant recycled fabrics, and many include raincovers for extra protection. Fully waterproof options are specialist models—always check product details.

Features like custom-contoured harness/hipbelt, AirScape™ back panels for ventilation, LightWire™ frames, and True Fit sizing ensure balanced weight and ergonomic support, even on all-day walks.

Daypacks compromise on weight and space but offer agility (e.g. Talon 22), while bigger models (like Rook 65) prioritise load control and all-day comfort—choose based on trip length and carrying needs.

Absolutely—lines like Daylite Plus and Arcane offer laptop sleeves, urban styling, organisation pockets, eco credentials, and comfort for everyday commutes as well as journeys.
