Festival packing is a bit of an art form. Too much and you will spend the weekend dragging stuff around. Too little and you will end up borrowing socks, queueing for chargers or standing in the rain looking at your tent with regret.
Start with the non-negotiables: ticket, ID, phone, wallet, charger and any travel info you need. If you are camping, bring a tent that can handle a bit of weather, a sleeping bag, a mat or airbed, a pillow and something warm for when the temperature drops at night. Add a waterproof jacket, sturdy shoes, sun cream, a reusable water bottle, earplugs, a torch and a small first aid kit, and you are already in good shape.
The best festival kit is the stuff that quietly saves your weekend. Wet wipes, hand sanitiser, spare socks, a power bank and a dry bag can feel boring at home and absolutely heroic by day two. Reusable items are worth the space too, because they cut down on waste and make your kit feel far more considered.
