Live in them year round!

Bought these from Cotswold Outdoors 2 years ago and I still live in them almost every day! As they are waterproof I use them instead of wellies and even in Summer they are perfect for wet grass in the morning or cold evenings. Look fab with skinny jeans and leggings and I get compliments on them everywhere I go. Due to the fact I wear them constantly they are not looking as good as they were so decided I needed some new boots. Have searched far and wide but can't find any I like as much so will be buying the same boots again.
The only reason I haven't given them a 5* is that I hoped they might last a couple more years (waterproofing and zip have now gone), but I do pretty much live in them so they have been very well used!

Great longer coat for town and country

Smart enough for town, tough enough for the Peak District, a very good all rounder. Fits true to size with enough room for a fleece underneath. Worth the extra pennies and the hard work it took to track one down!

Great workhorse!

Great pair of approach shoes for the amateur ambler as well as the avid climber. Light enough to carry on a multi-pitch route and man enough to descend on rough terrains. Breathable with good arch support, cushioned inner soles and robust enough to last seasons of constant use. Only downside is there is no gortex layer. This is the second pair of Merrell approach shoes I own and I wouldn't buy anything else!

Supportive, comfortable & they look good!

I predominantly bought these shoes for walking my dog but they look so good I happily wear them all day long.
The snug fit feels like my feet are being firmly hugged whilst also offering great grip and sturdy ankle support on difficult terrain.
You pay a little extra for the Gore-Tex water-proofing but I personally think it's worth it; who wants to walk around on soggy feet? I don't & now I don't have to!

Very Decieving

For this price they are terrible shoes.
Make my feet feel like I have fallen arches which I don't.
Only had them four weeks and in that time they have gone from feeling great in the shop to making my feet and legs ache after only half an hour. Need to take them back to Cotswold Droitwich from where I got them and go to North Face Hedgehogs which I had before and which were brilliant for years.

Good Shoes

Changed from the slams to these for waterproofing, they have been a good shoe during the months Novemeber to March and have proved their worth in tropical Australia and here in the UK. Comfortable good grip and waterproof.

Most recent of many Merrells. Sadly disappointed.

I bought these new and even more pricey Merrells about 7 months ago. I have loved my previous ones and alway wear them till they drop to bits. Usually this takes a year to 18 months. These have given up the ghost after only 5 months.
Straight off they weren't nearly so water-proof as the merrells I've owned before, letting in water when walking on wet days. Also they didn't seem to offer as much grip or support as previous models.
Overall very disappointing and I think I might move away from the brand and head for a cheaper but hopefully better option.

A great shoe... so far!

This will be the 6th pair of Merrell footwear I have owned. All have been excellent; beyond compare. They are always comfortable straight from the box and mould beautifully to your feet as you wear them. They have been hard wearing yet retain their looks.
These new Moabs are no different, so far! But I read with interest the previous comment about waterproofing. I'm off to walk in the wet grass now...

great shoe that leaks!

I purchased these shoes as a replacement to my old walking boots. They are so light you hardly know you have them on. Very breathable. Unfortunately when walking through my wet lawn they leaked. I returned them to Merrell, who were very prompt in supplying me a new pair, which promptly leaked again within days. I returned this pair and am still waiting to hear from them. Beware.

Early days but great general shoe.

Bought these for general everyday walking through the countryside. Great service at Milton Keynes store including having my feet measured. Great advice from service team. Most comfortable shoe I have had for quite some time. Being prone to blisters and being diabetic I need to be careful and these are by far the best and from day one, totally comfortable.

Great trail shoe when it isn't very wet or muddy

Merrell suit my fairly broad foot size and I have purchased two pairs of Moab Ventilators in the last four years. The second pair was bought this summer, as the soles on the first pair were wearing thin for walking rocky trails. They are very comfortable, grip well and are great in all but very wet/muddy conditions, as they have no waterproof membrane. This makes them very breathable, which is a real plus in warm/dry weather.

Amazingly comfy!

These must be the comfiest shoes I have ever had with a really good quality Vibram sole and excellent padding around the ankle area. Had these for 2 years now and still have no need to replace them , they are really long lasting!
The only fault I would have with these shoes is that I had to replace the laces after they started to fray a lot.

Very comfortable shoes

I use these as a pair of general outdoor shoes as well as for work, and they have been excellent so far. Padded, cushioned, grippy and stable. They're not waterproof, but this does help in keeping them cooler in the summer. One negative point: the laces supplied with these shoe are not the most durable and the sheath does wear through in a few months, but this isn't really an issue as laces are cheap and easy to replace.
