Best coat EVER!!!!

As a creature who feels the cold A LOT, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this coat!!!! I did not think such a comfy, cosy, wind and waterproof coat existed!!!! Thank you thank you for designing my dream coat! You have made a cold Scottish girl very happy and warm, without compromising on style :)))) The hood is particularly great as it zips right up snugly around your head and means you don't need to bother with hat, earmuffs or scarf for long windy walks and the sleeves are fab as are nice and snug with fleece around the wrists :) 6 stars for practicality AND fashionworthiness!! I've never bought a North Face jacket before and didn't know what I was missing (and no I don't work there, honest - I am just VERY pleased with my purchase :)

And a Happy 50th Birthday Present to Me!!

Just received the chocolate brown parka from my other half. I had searched and searched for a practical, stylish, comfortable and reliable parka and found all these in this coat. I know that in 2012 when the snow comes I will be snug on the 6am walk out with the dog before work! Absolutely wind proof and snug. Thanks Cotswold and for also price matching!

Excellent Parka in Brunette Brown!

I purchased this today from the Cotswold store and I am so pleased with it. It is extremely cosy and practical. I did have to try on three Arctic Parka's in the same size (Medium) to get the right fit. I plumped for the first one I tried, as overall it was the most comfortable; the other two for some odd reason felt as though they had been cut too short under the armpits and therefore made it too tight and uncomfortable across the chest. I also tried the Brooklyn Jacket, but felt it made me look a bit frumpy; the Arctic Parka suited me better and is a bit more stylish. The brown colour is a nice, warm tone which is complimented by the colour of the fur on the hood. This is a fabulous parka and I would highly recommend it!

Great winter coat.

I bought this coat a few months ago and I must say it is absolutely wicked! It is knee length, has an adjustable hood, full length storm flap and is very light weight. I am a UK size 12 and wear a size medium, it is a comfortable "active" fit, not too baggy nor tight. It is perfect for everyday wear, whether in the city or out walking the dogs. It is NOT waterproof but will quickly dry if put in a tuble drier on a low setting.. Throw in a tennis ball and this will puff out the down filling. This coat is amazing, you got to have it.

STYLISH WINTER COAT

This coat is so light yet so warm and is also so stylish that my wife can wear it for shopping, winter walking or winter holidaying on the continnt. Without doubt the best coat she has ever owned and will last years.

Excellent winter coat

I have been looking since last year for a cosy coat which comes down to my knees and have found very few to my taste. This parka is very flattering and doesn't make me look frumpy like others I have tried on, plus it should keep me warm even if we have a temperature drop like last year. The pockets are nice and deep with a soft lining. Most other coats I've tried on have hoods which will blow down at the first puff of wind. This hood has elastic round it which can be tightened and means it will stay up in a gale. Bring on the cold weather!

Best Jacket I've owned

Bought this from Hedge-End store, very helpful staff. This is a very warm jacket, nice fit and waterproof properties have stood up well to date. Used it for walking/rambling, school run, to and from work - cant fault it and sometimes if anything its too warm! Great jacket, beats other brands that cost much more. Grey colour looks good with Jeans or Workwear.

Superb

This jacket is superb. At the current sale price it is a bargain. So far it has been tested in torrential rain and very very strong wind and it has been A1. The Hyvent material outer "breathability" and the inner jacket warmth works a treat; keeping you warm without the "sweatyness" associated with "low tech" garments. Having had heavy rain and high winds I have every confidence that the jacket will easily handle sub zero temperatures. This jacket is well worth considering if you're in the market for a triclimate 3 in 1.

top purchase

I'm by no means an advocate of functional wear, in fact, this may be the first "functional" jacket I have ever bought. How silly of me! It keeps very warm even when cold, wet and windy (like most here I live on the British isles..., great for testing a jacket like this...), and at the current sales price excellent value for money - probably even still would be at full price. I would have preferred for the hood to be able to disappear in the collar, but that's minor. Inside pockets would have been useful however, it's a bit fiddly to use the zipped inner coat's pockets when wearing the overcoat (which does not provide any zippable pockets). Overall quite happy and excited about this purchase, flying to Bavaria shortly and will proudly cuddle up to some snow with this coat!

Brilliant Purchase

Amazing

Bought this jacket before a ski season and can not fault it at all. Both elements of the jacket are good on there own as well. Only criticism is there is no vents on it, also the hood is a little fiddly to get on and off. Practical and good once up though. I have used it skiing and trekking in Mongolia and both times I was very happy. Constant torrential rain for 3-4 hours and still dry. Like a lot of my kit I don't look after it as well as I should however you can't tell.

Warm, waterproof, comfortable, versatile

I bought one of these last winter just before the big snow, and have used it every day since. The inner Primaloft jacket is warm, but not too warm - I wore a fleece jumper under it on the really cold days. The outer shell jacket is waterproof and pretty breathable. The combination feels really snug and cosy. My only criticism would be that when working really hard, there was a bit of condensation inside, but this didn't affect the insulation, and the jacket stayed warm. I bought a lighter TNF Polartec 100 fleece for the summer, which I have used zipped in instead of the quilt jacket, so I have used this coat all year round. Great jacket, and a bargain at this price. Only improvement for me, would be a slightly longer cut on the inner jacket, and the addition of a chest pocket on the same.

absolutely worthful

I lived in Belfast, where is rainy and windy, so I want to buy a jacket like this long long time, but have tried many brands and many styles, none of them can compare to this. Not only waterproof but also comfortable. Actually it also can be seperated, so in the spring or autumn I can remove the inside part, and get together in the winter! Quite useful! Worthful!

great jacket from a store with great staff

I bought this product from a piccadily store. i am thankful, to the staff, who helped me to buy this product, which i wanted to buy for my travel to scotland, where it is raining , and cold. While coming out of the store, in piccadily ,london , it was cold , and raining, i decided to try, it, there itself. I can t help smiling on my choice of the product. It was good and very helpful.it was worth the price.
