Overall pretty good

I had a lot of trouble finding a ladies 25-30 litre day sack to fit. Although non lady specific this rucksack fits great. Plenty of room and particulary like the small pockets on the front straps which is great for GPS/Phone etc. I like that it is light but unless it is full it sags a lot. Also it doesn't seem to hold trekking poles very well. However everything else ticks all the boxes.

Outstanding pack

Bought this pack yesterday from Cotswold silverburn. Took it out for a 12 mile hike today. Very impressed. I ticks all the boxes and more. Loaded pack up with more than I needed to see how it coped. Can`t find any fault with it. It is by far the most comfortable pack I have owned. Would recommend.

Excellent day sack

This sack is super light and spacious. The fittings and adjustability make it extremely comfortable. My only gripe is the lack of a raincover, now standard on most sacks (but this is easily corrected by adding your own)/ All in all the best bag I have had

Great size daypack!

I bought this because I needed a slightly larger daysack but still wanted one I could take as hand luggage when travelling and it's the perfect size. Easy to cram in lots of stuff and it has plenty of little pockets. I especially like the zipped pockets on the hip belt - great for keeping money, keys or more importantly, sweets safe and close to hand. Very comfortable and lightweight too. My only minor complaint would be the lack of raincover.

Great all round pack

I brought this pack the other day, and have used it a few times so far. I love how much you can fit in to this pack - it can fit more than you think! I used it rockclimbing, having it on my back for multipitch climbs. It worked a gem for this purpose. The only one downfall I have discovered was while I had to haul it up a pitch using a rope, the material on the pack got a small rip which I was gutted about. The material is quite thin and does rip easily, whereas the other pack I hauled up suffered not even a scratch. Apart from this it is a great all round pack, versatile and user friendly. Highly recommend - just treat it better than I have treated mine!

Good Buy

I was forced into this purchase as I could not buy a day pack that was long enough in the back. The talon with it's adjustable back fitted. £80 for a small pack seemed a bit expensive, especially as it was a bit larger than I wanted. Having bought it and had a couple of days out with it I am very pleased. The compression is good so even when it is not at all full, it pulls into a nice compact shape. The funny part though it has been hot in the Ochills so not sure how it will cope when it rains. I used it with the side compression straps inside the side elasticated pockets which took a bottle in each. So far then pleased with it, looking forward to see how it goes in the wet.

The best rucksack ever!

I've used rucksacks for 30 years and recently bought the Osprey Talon II33 and think it's the best I've ever used. It's extremely comfortable with the adjustable back and a perfect size for a day or two on the hills. It has good wee pockets which are easily accessible without the need to remove the pack from your back. The best thing though is the walking pole holder which is easily accessed whilst wearing the pack. I don't know of any other pack that offers this. I love it!

Top Quality

A top quality rucksack that you would expect from Osprey. It swallows a hell of a lot of gear. Personally, I would like more pockets and compartments but the Osprey way is to keep things simple and lightweight. The bag is very comfortable and great to adjust. It handled a very heavy load very well and the adjustments to bring the bag into your body or away is brilliant. I do not think it handles small loads as well as what they claim, the top cover doesn't sit very well. It would also been nice to get a rain cover which does bump the cost up a little. You definitley will not regret purchasing this bag unless you are the type of person who likes everything to be organised into individual pockets.

Solid Performance

Purchased the Aether70 from the Preston Branch,May 2011. Having explained to Andy that I had never purchased a large rucksack before, he proceeded to show me through various designs and their related pros and cons. Nothing was to much trouble. There were more expensive rucksacks on offer, but having measured ,fitted and trying on of the Aether, we both decided that this was the rucksack for me. The rucksack didn,t fail to deliver or disappoint in all areas. It was used to take all my kit across to the Isle of Jura to compete in the annual fell race. The bag felt secure, comfortable and stable. Access to the kit was made easier through the front zip compartment. Hopefully it will put in another stalwart performance on the Isle of Syke Easter 2012. I would strongly recommend the Aether 70 to any one who loves the great outdoors. 5 stars for the service and advice Andy, job well done

Overall good with a few problems

I've had my Osprey Aether for 3 years now and it is by far the most comfortable rucksack that I've ever owned. It is very well thought out and easy to use. Also after over 500 miles of walking it's in pretty good condition with just a few nicks to the fabric. The only downside that I've found is that when carrying heavy loads (about 25kg) the suspension system has snapped, fortunately Osprey fixed it for me free of charge. Overall though it was a very good purchase and has served me well.

This Is The Bag You Want

A girl can never have enough bags, but if you could only have one this should be it! Great size with useful zip pockets down the side so you can have easy access to the contents. Removable bag on the top for day use, plenty of pockets and useful compartments. Bright colour - easy to recognise as yours when its revolving round the conveyor belt at the airport! The hip moulding is a great feature cannot recommend it enough! Osprey have really done well with this technology - fits a treat. best female pack out there

if you are small and cannot manage with a unisex pack then this is a fab option (and probably the only one). It sits well everywhere and and everything is designed to work for you. yes it's probably the most you have spent on a rucksack but it's also going to last because it's so well made.

My best rucksack yet

The rucksack is so comfortable to wear. The hip pads really make a difference and makes the sack so much more comfortable than other similar types on the market. The amount of kit I managed to get into the bag is huge. Great for travelling with. A useful feature is the detachable waist pack. Again when travelling this cuts down the need to carry an additional bag/day sack. Thde fabric is very tough and this makes the bag a real investment and it is clear that it will last for many years of travelling. By far the best large sack I have ever bought.

Bag for Life

This rucksack is amazing, it's so light and the weight is distributed exactly where it needs to be. Having the hip pads molded to fit me means the bag is even more comfortable to wear, and the best thing is if my hips change I can get the pads remolded up to 8 times. Also, the top detaches to become a bumbag, perfect for carrying personal items when you don't need a daypack. The bottom of the bag is ultra tough and the water-resistant finish keeps all your items perfectly dry, and to top it all off the product has a life-time guarantee, how awesome is that?
