Whatever the weather may try, keep yourself comfortable and warm

No matter what the weather may try, keep yourself comfortable with the Mountain Creek 3 in 1 Jacket from Jack Wolfskin.

While the simple, uncluttered lines of the jacket don't look out of place in the city, don't be fooled by appearances.

Beginning with the outer shell, this jacket is made in Texapore: tough, waterproof and breathable fabric to provide you with maximum protection from the winter weather, as well as shrugging off whatever knocks and scrapes you may throw at it! Beneath that shell is a warm, breathable Nanuk fleece. Together of course, these layers protect you from harsh winter conditions, but each layer can be worn as a jacket in its own right too. Zipped out, the fleece inner forms the perfect jacket for a bright, crisp autumn stroll. Without the fleece attached, the outer shell is a light, waterproof jacket to protect you from the wind and rain on warmer days. Even greater versatility comes from the detachable hood, which allows the jacket a simpler, stripped down look.

On exposed ridges, lowland paths or the daily commute, the Mountain Creek is all the jackets you need.

I bought the man's jacket as the women's are all either in dreadful pink or the arm length is too short. The sleeve length on this is perfect and the fit isn't bad on me as a woman, especially as it can be adjusted in several ways such as around the mid section and the hood. The hood adjustment is brilliant as without it the hood would fall over my eyes somewhat hindering walking and cycling. I've suffered this before with hoods so this one is well designed. I also like the double zip so if I'm cycling I can undo it a bit to allow greater movement. I got it reduced but it is still a pricey coat. However it does have the added bonus of a fleece included. Other brands make you buy the fleece separately. Great colour and thankfully not pink!
The hood is bit bulky when folded down into the back of the coat.

Really warm with the fleece liner insert. I have worn just the fleece liner in torrential rain ( lent the jacket to a coatless daughter) and I stayed dry. Excellent. This is the third one that I've purchased as other members of the family are always borrowing them. That must mean something. I really like everything about this design although I always buy the men's version.
Buy the men's version as it is much longer and therefore more protective. Only negative is the collar ( Velcro) at the back knots up hair like you wouldn't believe but obviously that's a minor point.

Good value
Fleece sleeves a little short but expect that is due to it being a 3-in-1 and having to fit in the outer coat.
Not convinced the zip on the coat will last as not the best quality
